Everyone has been made fun of at least once in their life. What you need to realise is that people who make fun of others do so because they have insecurities of their own and it makes them feel better to make others feel bad. Don't back down to them, but never let them see that their stupidity has upset you. Be the bigger person and walk away.

Yes. A lot.

I didn't do anything. I let karma do the work for me. The people that do that are actually insecure and have an issue within themselves, so they build themselves up by breaking other people down. The biggest revenge is overcoming all of it and not letting it affect you. When they see how little it bothers you and how little it affected you...that's the real thing you gain from all of it.

And then sometimes, there are just kids that do it because it's "fun" or "everyone else is doing it."

People make fun of people all the time, and yes, I have been made fun of. But, I am not affected by it because the best thing to do is learn to laugh at yourself. If someone makes fun of you, you use it to make a joke. If they continue to make fun of you, you laugh, and then later, you make fun of them. If you show them it doesnt bother you and throw it back on them they will definitely stop. If you dont feel comfortable doing that, the other best option is to ignore the person and distance yourself from them. They are either doing it because they are insecure or they are jealous of you.

Yes, and it hurt a lot! If this is hurting you a lot you should get support from somebody you love and trust. i didn't and as much as I hate to admit it, made me have self image issues. On the long run tho it makes you stronger, because you understand that people who make fun of others are extremely insecure because they divert attention from their defects by pointing out the other's.

Yes, I was made fun of and it hurt bad. I read some of the other answers andI liked the one about not letting the teasers realize they are hurting you but getting revenge just makes you like them in my opinion(it's only my opinon). When I hear my young friends and grandchildren making fun of others I try to share what I went through and what it did to me. Whatever you do DON"T bottle it up. Find someway to beleive that what they say is NOT true. Keeping you in my thoughts

Yes, I have been. Either you have to ignore it so the person will stop (which doesnt always work). Or ask them to stop. Don't be rude, but don't be pushover either. You can say " I really dont like it when you say........, I find it very rude, and would like for you to stop". You can tweak it to the situation. If you are silent and dont say anything, but it still hurts you; you will gradually build up anger and self-dislike. Effective communication is key here. This is one situation where you need to stand up for yourself and not become silent.

Also understand, anytime someone goes out of their way to hurt you, it shows that they have a problem with themselves.

I hope this helps.

ha ha ha
truth b told im not often made fun of.
but i dont c how taking it to heart will help (im laffin at that person btw,.)
When i'm given a hard time, there are three ways to handle it. angel
devil
freak.
they all help in different ways.
Angel is one u can admit to doing. You think of someone hu loves u (like ur mom, or boyfriend or whatever) someone that u respect. u gotta think i must b pretty cool for them to love me.
devil- this is really satisfying, even if mean. Compare yourself to that person. Say (to yourself, not to her) well at least i have nice hair, shes probably jealous. whether or not she is jealous is besides the point. u feel better.
freak.
the slightly freaky way of handling it is to write it all down.. What they say, and how itll make you feel. then either burn it, or flush it down the toilet. This signifies getting rid of it, and itll make you feel loads better.

ok now im sure i sound like a freak but give it a try,
cheerio!

yes I did get made fun of. What I did was just laughed with them and made even more fun of myself. After awhile they get really annoyed that what they are saying isn't bothering you and they just give up on trying to make you feel bad. Don't worry though it is just them and their own insecurities

Yes and I just laugh and forget about it. It's only fair that people get to make fun of me, because I make fun of a lot of people! Same goes for gossiping. I'd be offended if people didn't gossip about me.
