OK. So, my best friend is usually good about this sort of thing, because I liked one of her other exes (they had only gone out for 2 weeks though, broken up, gone out for another week, broke up) and she said it would have been fine for me to date him. She wouldn't lie to me and we're disgustingly blunt with each other about EVERYTHING...but I like her boyfriend. Ex-boyfriend, now. I liked him before they even went out, but I let her have him thinking I never had a chance. Now they've broken up and he likes me too. Is it against the rules of friendship to go out with him if she says yes and I give her enough time? I would never make a move without her permission, and if she said yes I'd believe her (we're close enough that we don't hold any bars, and we'll tell each other EXACTLY what we don't like about the other...).

I have been battling with my husband's past relationship for the past couple of years. When I was dating him, there were loads of traces of the ex-gf still in the house, from pictures to furniture. Just recently, I discovered that the house was both under their names, and that they lived together in other various houses - details he failed to mention to me when we were dating. Also, he admitted that he searched her name on google and youtube to find out how the ex was doing.

3yrs later, he still has her pictures and some of her items stashed in our garage. All these years, I felt that the ex was some invicible person still living with us and it wasn't til I blew up in rage that he decided to eliminate all the items in the house that reminded him of her.

Do you think my hubby never got over his ex? Please advise. I know this is the past, but why did it take him years to realize that he had to let go of the mementos? I also don't understand why he's still curious about her?

My fiancee is a convert, and we think it would be best to have a ring ceremony to ensure his family feels apart of the wedding and not left out.

My questions is: Have you ever been to a ring ceremony?
What did they speak about during the ring ceremony? How long was the right ceremony? What did you think of it? DId it take away from the temple ceremony? Was it appropriate? Did they have the bride walking down the aisle and flower girls,etc etc???

Sometimes i get really scared the guy I like doesn't like me anymore, even though its a werid thought because he is so sweet.. he has told me he likes me and less than a week ago we were hanging out and he was kissing and cuddling me and stuff and most times when i see him in the hallways he hugs me.. i haven't had a lot of relationships in the past, but the ones i have had miserably failed. nothing i did, i don't think.. the first one lasted a week cuz the guy decided he just wanted to be friends.. and the second one happened like 4 times for about 2 days each because the guy was being a jerk and going back and forth between me and this other girl.. so when i found out i stopped giving him chances. do you think i'm scared because of these past relationships? or could there be something really wrong with my self esteem? and sometimes when i see my crush in the halls i get scared and pretend not to see him or go another way.. even though i had looked forward to seeing him all day?

today I wanted to get to know my kid's bus driver. well basically we live on a covasac and all the parents sit and wait for the bus with their children. The bus driver is a black man and he was talking to one of the black parents and they were using light ebonics..you know like "whats really good" and phrases like that..Since my daughter is mixed i felt i could do the same so i was like "What it is?" and they both looked at me up and down and shook their heads and the bus driver peeled out in a mad fashion..(with kids still in bus)
I dont know what his problem is I tell myself when i look in the mirror that i look like a light skinned Denzel Washington..but still im not "down"

Im not shy and i don't mind being rejected, but how should i phrase it? should i just be blunt with "do you want to go out with me" or should i ask him to hang out with my friends at the mall or something? Would he find it awkward only to be with my friends (people he doesn't know) and is the mall too girly of a place?
