Family & Relationships - 14 February 2007

I was dumped in late October of last year after a "serious" 4 year relationship. I must admit, I am still pretty bumed out and it's been a little over 3 months. I still feel a lot of anger and sadness when I think about this person. I am in school, so i'm pretty busy. But I just don't know how I will ever move on with my life since I can't seem to force myself to leave the house, except for when I go to school and excerise. I certainly don't want a new relationship, and sitting at home makes me feel most happy right now. But I'm concerned it may be bad for me to be so isolated. I am wondering, does one heal aftrer a certain amount of time after a long relationship like this?

i have this guy friend that i really like, but im not sure if he likes me. well, he always stares at me, and he thinks its cute when i blush. he always compliments me everyday, and i talk to him on AIM every chance that i get. he loves it when im on, and likes to talk to me. he makes me laugh all the time, and is a little touchy with me. he thinks its cute when he pokes me on the sides and i jump. and today, (valentines day) he sent me (at least i think he sent me) a love letter in his handwritting, and everyone says, "he wrote it!" but he says he didnt. does he like me?!

Ok, 3 weeks ago, I asked one of my female friends out (we were friends for 1 month). We used to flirt and shoot long glances towards each other. First she said "Oh, that'll be cool!" Then right after that she says "I don't know." Then after that she says "I'm really busy these days. Thanks for the offer." After that I don't speak to her for the next 2 weeks. Then, 2 days ago, I saw her from a distance and we were walking right towards each other. She saw me, smiled but wasn't even looking at me when she was smiling (lol) and then stared at the ground. Yesterday, she saw me from a distance and I saw that she kept looking my way and kept fixing her hair. She kept staring at me from a distance.
Today, I was sitting outside and didn't notice her walking by me. She did a really 'shy' wave at me and said "hey...how are you?" And then she looked away and then looked back really quick and then looked away again. I get the feeling that she has been acting really shy around me lately.

My ex called me out of the blue. We don't communicate. I am still hurt. We have a 8yr old daughter together. She brought (i agreed) a man in our home who was down on his luck. I was VERY nieve. Things were already not good between us. After 3yrs she wants to take me to lunch. She proceeds to tell not a day has gone by that she hasn't thought of me ect. ect. She was sorry. what she did was wrong ect. ect. She then says her lover has moved out although she was still "friends" (I was told this term before) with him and still cared for his boys. She asked if we could try to be friends again.? I let her know the only way I could do this was knowing he was gone. I wear my heart on my sleeve so she knows in grave detail how I feel. I have since confronted her @ his home. She admitted to still sleeping with him. She says I misunderstood her. She just wanted to be social and says for our daughter. I have told her as long as she is involved w/ him we could not have a friendship it is to painful.

So I am getting out of a relationship of a year and a half, we lived together and did foster care together, I choose to move out but we agreed to still work on it. we have been talking for the last three months but taking a break. this past month he has called me weekly and we have talked. He asked me to wait for him, that he neded space. I have been waiting, last week he called me said I had mail over there, I go to get it and tell him I can't wait anymore to just foward my mail and we go our sperate ways, he breaks down crying "Im empty without, can't live with out you, think about you constantly. we talk and text the next couple days about working it out. Come to find out he has been seeing someone else for a month. Question is should I contact her and tell her he has been pursuing me and saying these things to me or is that just vindictive and I should just move on? I feel she should know that he has been leading both of us on.....

My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 months. We dated a year ago for 3 months then broke up because he got sent away to boarding school... He came back and we've been talking ever since. We "officially" got back together then 3 days later, he got in a car accident, he got badly hurt and was hospitalized for around 2 months I went to see him at the hospital only once because his dad was there most of the time and he severly dissaproves of me because of some mistakes I made last year. I haven't seen him since he got out of the hospital because of his father. I really love him and he says the same but for the last two weeks, he hasn't told me he loves me and we've talked maybe twice. I've been debating breaking up with him for a while and I attempted to today but I couldn't get the words out cause it's Valentines Day and I felt horrible. A couple hours ago, he asked me if I was breaking up with him and instead of saying yes, I told him no, I couldn't do that if I wanted to... tbc

Do youneed to be a woman to be emotionally traumatized and abused?

To all females responses to my questions i say yes i love you but that doesent mean that i dont respect my own sex or will let you undermine us in the guise of injustice done to you for so long.

I'am proud to be a male and why is it that if a male wants to explore the changing roles of the genders from his angle the women start getting heated up have you got a patent on that?

I love you but i will still do what i think is right and just .

Take it or leave it .

Remember if you want us to reciprocate and respect you then you damn well do the same .

Or lets get on with jungle life and time will tell who enjoys it the most .
