It really depends on where you live. In some places in the country, making $50,000 a year a high salary or at the top of the brake for the area. In other places, an individual may need to make at least $100,000 to be able to afford the cost of living.
I'm from the northeast/NYC area suburb. I good salary starts at $65,000+. But most families make a combined income of at least $90,000-120,000.

It all depends on in what part of the country you are taking about. If you are on the west coast or north east coast $100,000. would be considered middle class, most other areas in the US that would affor you a very comfortable lifestyle. $150.000.00 would be considered a high on the east and west coasts, not rich a salary in those areas! Taxes and housing costs make those areas way to expensive.

Its all a matter of how you manage it...a person can make 100,000 and be in total debt while another can make less and have more. If you don't learn how to manage your income it really doesn't matter how much you earn

it depends on where u live i live in new york with my husband and he makes 75,000 and that's really nothing but my mom and brother live in pennsylvania and he makes 60000 and they live well so it depends on where u live
