My wife and I are having a disagreement and we want your input to figure out who's right. Here's the question: If you were planning on going to the lake on June 1st but then decided to go on June 8th, would that be moving it back a week or moving it forward a week?

I have applied for promotion 2 times and been turned down both times i don't know why i bother cos i help the people who got the job out they ask me how to do this and how to deal with a customers complaint about a member of staff they are in charge of i sorted it out and talked to the member of staff I was told the first time i got turned down that i needed to show more confidence and the second time they said you are confident but this time we are going to hire from outside and yesterday i was told they have asked other members of staff if they want the team leader job .I don't know what i have to do to prove myself to the managers ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GOOD THANKS

I have been married to my hubby for 10 years. We have 2 children and are, for the most part, happy. In the last year, I have a new girlfriend to hang with. She happens to be his best friends girlfriend. The problem is this: I have been pretty much a "loner" since we've been together. I do not and have not had many friends at all. This last month I had gone to her house to hang out about 3 times and another 3 times to work on their computer for her b/f(my hubbies best friend). Her and I sit and listen to music, drink a few beers, talk about books(we both love to read) play cards and other games. We don't go to bars or parties or anywhere. She doesn't have a car and she only lives 3 minutes away so I go there to hang out w/her. Typically, her boyfriend is out for the evening and she is at home w/their 8 yo son and my hubby stays home w/our children. When I come home from visiting her, I get nothing but grief from my hubby for being there too much! I am happy to have a friend finally!

Is it wise to take a second chance with one of your childrens father? My situation goes as follows. I was dating this guy for a year and wound up pregnant, (for those who are going to ask why wasnt i on something i was) but he wasnt ready to be a father and the last three years my child has never met her father, and i never got over him and believe me i tried. Well a few months ago we ran into each other and started talking again and all the feelings i had for him came back and grew stronger than ever, we are working on him meeting his child and also spending time together to see if we could have a relationship that is more healthier than before. I would love nothing more to be with him and have a family that is whole for my child but i have bigger concerns with the what ifs. so what im asking is what would you all do would you take the risk of being with the one you love or would you not want to take the chance in case of it hurting your child if it doesnt work out?

We r pretty much already "dating" but its just not official. we r always together, @ school ( i have 5 out of 8 classes a day wit him) i can talk 2 him about anything! and the same 4 him w/me..we go 2 the movies, go out 2 eat, pretty much we go anywhere together. I have kinda liked him for a while now but idk how 2 bring it ^. The reason i want to tell him is b/c yesterday we were in class and i had to use the restroom, so i was only gone 4 about 5 or 6 mins. and when i got back he ran ^ 2 me, gave me a hug, and said "My love, where did you go? I missed you!" (BTW we had never hugged b4 that) so idk if he was just being friendly or if it had a hidden meaning...what do u think? how should i tell him i want 2 b more?

Hello,

I will try to keep this short, but it goes way back. I had this friend for about 12 years, she was very condesending to me and our other friend about everything. For some reason I looked up to her even though it was obvious that she talked constantly about others, including the other gal we were pals with.

Well, I decided to end the freindship but remain friends with the other gal. One day she flat out asked me about what the ex friend had said about her, her children and her hubby and was crying and so I told her. I felt she should know and she did play on my sympathy.

Well, she ended up telling the ex that I went to her hubby (at our work) and told him all this stuff and basically lied her butt off and now they are back buddies again and I have just sat back and let them run all over me.

This happened way back at the end of the summer, but has bothered me since. I really feel that I need to get this off my chest and clear my name.

Any opinions?

I found myself in family court a couple days ago, facing my ex and his new family. (He is still with the woman that he left me for) We are not exactly on friendly terms bc he has not seen his son in almost 5 yrs and lives only mins away. Our son, who is now 12, calls my b/f of 5yrs "daddy" now.
In the yrs since we have been apart, I have become a born again Christian...and am extremely happy with my life, but I felt the overwhelming need to write my ex a letter. In the letter, I have forgiven him for the pain that he caused me, because I no longer feel anything for him but pity.. Pity that he never got to know his son and how much of a shame it was.. And that it would be up to my son when he was older if he wanted to forgive him or not..
I was not nasty in the letter at all, it was a straight-forward letter.. Why did I feel the need to write this letter and would it really be a good idea to send it??

So, I go to school with this guy and for the past couple of weeks he would always say hi to me and always find a way to just say something small to me. I started to think that he liked me so I started to kind of flirt back with him. So he ended up telling me he liked me through a few of his friends and got my number through someone at school and called me about a week after i found out he liked me. He called me two nights in a row (Sat & Sun). On the phone I told him I liked him too. On Monday, things didnt really change between us and no one ever made another move. We've never even hugged. He asked me on a date last Saturday for this upcoming week. But, he told a friend of mine that hes unsure about me because he might like other girls too. Its been a little awkward between us and I feel like he's a little bit intimidated by my strong personality. We're kinda popular and people always joke about us liking each other. How do I show him that I do like him and get him to make a move?

I'm getting married in Mexico in June and I am on the larger side. If I do lose some weight before then, its still not going to be enough.

My question really is did you feel any less glamourous in your wedding dress because you were bigger, or look at your photos after and cry about how fat your face was?

I want this to be the best day of my life.
