My wife and I are having a disagreement and we want your input to figure out who's right. Here's the question: If you were planning on going to the lake on June 1st but then decided to go on June 8th, would that be moving it back a week or moving it forward a week?

This is just a friendly disagreement that we decided to make a little wager on-the winner gets a massage.

Well, if the winner gets a massage, and the loser is the one doing the massaging, seems like a win win situation.
It would be moving it back as week.

If u had plans 4 June 1st and then decided on moving it 2 June the 8th i say u moved it fowared a week because if u move it back a week then that would make it like around May 25th. Remember the key words in ur disagreement back means 2 move back and foward means 2 go ahead.

My wife and I both agree that it would be moving it forward a week. Moving it back would mean you planned on going the end of May. Hope this helps. Now kiss and make up!

Moving it forward. Moving it back a week would make the date of the trip May 25th.

in my opinion moving the date further away from the prior date means to push it back to a later date. Moving forward would mean to make the date sooner, having less time to reach that appointed date.

I think forward means its going to hit you sooner and pushing something back is like putting something off or on the back burner. Although I have to admit many people consider it the opposite and interchange them a lot.
