I'm looking for your opinions guys and girls. What do you think? If someone decides that romance/love is something too stressful or painful for them, or is simply "not their thing", is there anything wrong with not wanting to ever be in love or marry and to want only to enjoy and live out their life as a single person?

my parents are so hurt and my mom is so angry with me that she said once i leave that i can never come back. she feels im ruining my life. and i come from an arabic background so u can see my dilemma here. it's against our culture.

there's this guy in my science class and gym class and he said "you smell hot" and smiles, then laughs with all his friends. at first i just gave him a funny look because i thought he was being obnoxious and then he's like "seriously though, you smell so good."

(it was after gym and i just put paris hilton perrrrrfume on)


and before this happened, he stole my phone and was reading my text messages. he saw one from a guy-friend of mine that said "hey beautiful" and he was like
"ohhhh is this your boyyyyfriend?" i said no and he's like "right, but you give him a little SUCKIE on the side right?"

and i give him a weird look again and he's all "i'm kidding, i'm kidding."

so what's wrong with this kid?

im talking specifically on here...people sometimes try sooooooo hard to give the right answer that they end up looking like a complete loser...no offense...they dont say what they really think half the time...they just give what they think is the required acceptable textbook answer...

the people that try less and are just direct and say what they mean...or simply have a sense of humour are far more beguiling in my opinion....and theyre answers that tend to be truer too...so why do you think so many people try so hard to impress other people that they dont even know???

we are engaged to be married in a couple months, I want to cancel the whole wedding. For more than one reason. Heres 2 examples of what I am going through..First I think hes a hypochondriac, ever since we first met hes complained about these "pains" he has. It started in his groin, then his arm, now his legs. He complains about not feeling "right" and feeling "sick" every single day for 3 years.He sleeps ALL the time beause of it and everytime I try to touch him or get attention he tells me to stop touching him and to leave him alone.hes at home 99.9% time
Hes in a bad mood all the time. I think I have realized that we are not compatible anymore. Being around someone that is so moody all the time is really bringing me down. Not only that but it really hurts me how mean he can be.i should leave I guess I am looking for a way out right now. we share a home, cars, everything so it would be hard just to walk away. How should I do it?there is no talking to him he just tells me to shut up

You don't know me so i don't have to lie.
I am studying in a medical school (college), have all the attributes of a so called successful living but all my life i had one regret.........I never had a friend whom i could call a sincere good and loyal friend, with whom i could share my life, my sorrows, my happiness and EVERYTHING, ask for advice and help. It doesn't mean that i'm an introvert, rather i think i've been too good to others my whole life. I helped those around me, but everybody just stuck with me as long as i was at the GIVING end, later they left and when i seeked help, i was alone. The girl whom i loved so much, from the core of my heart, left me blaming that she was an outgoing girl and blamed me for dragging her into the LOVE THING.....Now i feel so alone and sometimes too depressed thinking why this world is too small for those who are good to others? Or is the word selfish merely enough to describe them?
I have no answer.

I spent a lot of time choosing the stationery and went through two drafts to write the letter, so I was a bit disappointed. Appreciate any thoughts?

I know this guy who is a family friend of mine. Ok, i like him and i dont know If i should tell him or not. I have two questions:

1. What is the difference between a public and confidential marriage license? I'm a California resident. The only benefit I see is that people cannot get information about you w/out a court order. Other than that I don't see the point.......anyone??

2. When getting married and your name changes how do you handle this on the passport? If you are planning to travel out of the country should you keep your current last name until after you get back then change it? If you apply for your marriage license, they are only good for 90 days and that doesn't leave much time for the passport to be renewed.

Help!
