he tells all my friends that he thinks im really cool and we always joke around with eachother. and i always catch him staring at me but he is always so nervous around me i think he likes me but i cant be so sure since he's really shy i dont know what would you do in my situation?

compliment his ex-girlfriend? they went out and only broke up because he moved away. after 4 years he still liked/loved her or whatever...and he said he got over her about a year ago. they still talk and are "good friends." he tells her she looks good or that her picture is "cute" and that he misses her. is it possible he's saying that and feels nothing for her anymore? i know he loves me, but i still get VERY jealous when he tells her stuff like that. even if its just "a compliment from a friend to a friend."

Well, there is a situation in my family, l really need your help and l don't know if l'm the one with the problem or not. My mum is going out with a married man, but she knows it is wrong. The 1st time l tried to talk to her so she could stop she was like, l'm a grown up woman and l know what l'm doing then l told her l was asking because she had told me & my 2 bros they were just friends. Me and my bros do not like what is going on and l think my mum knows that, but if we try to tell her she won't listen- amongst the 3 of us l'm the only one who can stand up to her & tell her, but l can't do that anymore coz she won't listen & she'll tell me, do you want to control my life? The worst thing is he sometimes bring his brothers & his 2yr old son &l can't believe the brothers let him do that. This issue is really stressing me & my siblings esp me. What do you think l should do, please? l know she won't listen to me coz she thinks l'm just a 16yr old & l don't know anything about life.

Never felt this way about a man before, and absolutely cannot live without him. I listen to him, and he can also make me talk about things which no one else can do. He broke up with me because he said that it was not the right time and that's what he was feeling in his heart, but that he still has the same feelings for me and that we should try this again but at a later time. Problem is, I don't think we should be apart. I think we should stay together and work out any problems we have together. I'm really tired of missing him so much and feeling so hurt and crying every single day. Please, tips on how to get him back or what I should do. No stupid or rude comments or answers please.

Everybody always says "blood is thicker than water" and that "you only get one mother", and all that jazz - I'm wondering if there is something terribly wrong with me. I'm in my mid 20s and since about the age of 10 I've felt dislike and hatred towards my mother.

I don't really want to get into all of the reasons why, but she is very mentally abusive, ignorant, and hateful to everybody around her. She has no respect for anybody and emotinally behaves like a child.

I should probably be asking a shrink this question, but is it wrong of me to hate the woman that gave birth to me? Is there anybody else out there that feels negative emotions towards their mother?

I've been seeing this guy for a month and a half. He lives about an hours drive away from me. I've known since I've met thim that his father was in a bad way. Just recently he went into hospital and that's the last I've heard from him. I've left a couple of messages on his phone like " just seeing how your going, call me if you need/want anything" and have been trying to get on with my life as much as possible but it's making me feel so unsure about my position. I find myself breaking down. we've only reall just gotten to know one another and I already feel like he's gone from my life. how do I handle this? what should I be doing? Should I just let it go.... or is this worth fighting for?

We both worked together for 6 months. We kinda liked each other then. Both the dates ended up in makeout sessions in his car. I do like the guy but I am not ready to move forward with the sexual part yet. I told him we should slow down and he agreed to it. I am concerned though that next time we are together he will try to take it to the next level. I was thinking, I will not get in his car the next time we go out. But at the same time, I dont want him to get the wrong message. I just want to slow down the physical part, since the chemistry we feel is overpowering. Is not getting into his car a good idea or will it send a wrong signal? Any other suggestions?

So, there's a guy... (well, isn't there always?)

This guy is older... and, attractive (in my eyes...)
He's funny, smart, has a great sense of humor, has been through alot...
and is just someone that I feel like I can relate to...
You know when you have a dream person all planned out in your head? Well, he's pretty much that. From the day I met him, I felt something for him.

But, the thing is, I've heard bad things about him though, really bad...
He has his bad points, he does weird things, sometimes he doesn't treat people all that nice...
but, I can understand where he comes from, even though I can't always agree with his actions...

Most people don't believe that he's a good person, though... He's disliked by many.

I don't know what to do. I keep trying to tell myself that I don't care about him. Every single day that I wake up, I tell myself that he's a jerk, that I don't love him...
But it doesn't seem to be working. I can't control these feelings I have for him.
