We both worked together for 6 months. We kinda liked each other then. Both the dates ended up in makeout sessions in his car. I do like the guy but I am not ready to move forward with the sexual part yet. I told him we should slow down and he agreed to it. I am concerned though that next time we are together he will try to take it to the next level. I was thinking, I will not get in his car the next time we go out. But at the same time, I dont want him to get the wrong message. I just want to slow down the physical part, since the chemistry we feel is overpowering. Is not getting into his car a good idea or will it send a wrong signal? Any other suggestions?

Geez, I tend to get a bit baffled by talk of the" wrong meesage" people not taking the hint, and presumptions etc etc. Whats wrong with saying what u think, using direct and correct "communication",If anyone doesn't like what you feel is best for your welfare, too bad. If your friend actually has RESPECT and cares for you, he should except your direct approach. If not there are more fish in the sea so to speak!

Okay here is the way it is. You have told the guy you want to slow down. Well if he respects you he will do it. Unfortunately most guys seem to have that one thing in mind and will agree to slow down..Until next time (that's the part they always leave out).
As long as you feel safe going with him give him another chance and if he continues to be pushy I'd suggest that be the last date. IF you feel that you are in danger..your probably better off to end the dates and find a new man of interest.

that was really wise of you.go to the next date , and if he tries his kissy stuff, he's not the one. Your guy would agree to slowing down, but be warned, most guys love speed, both in cars and in love!!!!
