How ridiculous getting divorced after 20 years of marriage. Anyone that can put up with a person for that long deserves a medal. Stay married being single isn't all what it's cracked up to be.

Start a budget. Plan out how much you have to spend and then try to cut down. You have to be realistic on your expenses and keep very close track of your expenditures. Exact if you can. I am assuming you have enough money to go around now. If not, credit counselors are good and will keep you with enough money to live on and out of bankruptcy court.

Why not just seperate and see if you can mend your
marriage, as that will save you a lot of money in the end.

no point in divorcing now.
when you could tolerate each other for 20 years, it would not be much difficult for rest of life.
