Self confidence is a big issue. Just by letting her know, and being there as her friend is a big help. Don't push her. Your way is not hers.

first of all, start out with just getting to know her a LITTLE more. Just have a sleepover or something and talk about both your lives -- and don't mention her low-confidence! At the end of the sleepover, just tell her something like "and remember, you can trust me with anything!" or something like that! But don't force her. Then, she'll adjust to the fact that you really want her trust and she will probably open up!
Does this help? I hope so!

Help her, Build up her confidence, Say nice things to her, say she is great, she is the best, she can do it, and what problems do you think she might have? if she wont open up about her problems how do you know she has problems?

Don't listen to the first guy, I think putting her down would make it worse and that she can't even trust her own friend (you)

sounds like she is clinically depressed. she needs to see a doctor. or maybe she just has low self esteem and no life like me. anyway she's lucky she's got a friend like you who is concerned about her. but don't be too pushy, just be supportive.

tell her that you want to help her but can't because she won't open up to you. just make sure she isn't just doing it so people will feel sorry for her.

you should try putting her down more and reassuring her that she will be no one in life. I find that reverse psychology can really be effective in a situation like this.

get her a book about building self esteem, be there for her and don't force any issues with her.
