My husband and I are in our mid 20's. We have been together for 5 years and married for 2. We finished college, bought a house and have careers that we are very happy with.

I am 7 weeks pregnant with our first child, we planned this baby and we are so happy to be starting out family.

We announced my pregnancy at Christmas to my parents. My father seemed happy about our baby news, but my mother just said, "Oh, congratulations." and was not happy nor excited to find out we are expecting her first grandchild.

My mother is very controlling, she told me when I should marry (at 28), when I should have children (after 30) and so on. She was pissed I married when we wanted and she is pissed I got pregnant when we wanted.

How to deal with controlling mother who is unhappy I am pregnant? She is never happy with any of the great decisions I have made! Since I didn't follow the life schedule she set for me, she is going to be bitter about my baby.

Any advice?

I have some cousins that did not have Christmas with us because of my fiance. I do not know why they do not like him and it hurts, because they have no reason to talk, since thier daughter has lived with other guys and has brought them to Thanksgivings and Christmas' and we gave them Christmas presents and spent a big amount of money. I am so sick of my relitives telling me that he is no good for me, when they do not know him. I LOVE HIM with all my heart, though he does have some faults but we all do.

My diamond is actually so big due to the shape- it's a oval... I will have to get a custom band made. It' has to have a curve in it to fit around the stone. UGH, I can't find anything I like and will have to have something made but I am surprised that one carries anything like this? I want a band that only curved on one side and straight on the other so it doesn't look curved. All the band I have found are curved on both sides. I want baquets going across the whole band. I am just trying to find a picture of one to look at to see if I like it and then take it to the jeweler for ideas- he told me to bring a picture, he doesn't have any in his office. He is a friend of my brother inlaws and normally doesn't do small jobs- only retail stores so he can make anything but needs a picture.

There is this person who is one of fiancees oldest friends who totally disrespected me and caused too many problems in my relationship with my fiancee. She acted as though I didn’t exist and asked things of us that she really shouldn’t have, just because fiancee used to do a lot for her and her son in the past. my daughters daycare was unexpectedly closed today because of toxic fumes. i had to work, i told my mother that it was closed but i didnt ask for her to babysit. she made a big deal about her having to go in to work to finish up some cases, she's on vacation. i asked my aunt to babysit because i couldnt miss work and she said fine. then my mother says ok i will babysit but you have to pay me. i told her that i already had it worked out and to forget about it. now she emails me and she tells me that she will go get my daughter after work which she doesnt have to. should i have to pay her even though i said she didnt have to?

Hi,
I just got back with my b/f a little over a year ago, prior to that we dated for 3 months and during that time I got pregnant. We broke up before I found out I was pregnant. When I told him, he really had no interest in our child. As time passed my daughter grew up and had very little contact with her father and last year before she turned 1 he started coming around because he broke up with his g/f. We started our relationship again but I have lost all interest in him. I know he is really into me, but I don't feel the same. Sometimes I wonder if it is just a phase that will end or if it'll just get worse. Sometimes I just want to cry because I hate the feeling of having to be with someone I am not attracted to. Also my daughter is a big issue because now that she has her father I can't really take him away from her and I know that if I break up with him he will not come around to see her anymore.Anyways please help me and let me know what you think!!Thanks a million.

okay, my boyfriend is 14 and is extremely close with his cousin and she is 18....I mean extremely close. He thinks I'm overreacting but he is OBSESSED with her! Ok, Of the 3 one is definitely out because of various reasons.

But the other 2, one will give me security. Is a well known person and has everything I could ever dream of..Only problem here is that he has been dating me for a year and has never proposed

The other guy loves me for real and wants to keep me happy but has nothing. Is still struggling but will never cheat on me and will be honest. And he has proposed many times to get married.
