is a 45-70 rifle better than a 30-30 and also what do ya think is the best rifle for deer hunting

It depends on where your hunting in a heavily wooded area I'll carry my .30-30, but most of the time I'll just go with my .30-06

Rifles are for defending your family against Tyranny in Government according to Thomas Jefferson.
With that said the best rifle for Deer hunting is an Assault weapon. If you want a 30-06 get a fal, AK 47 or an AR 15 from the gun show.

A 30-30 is plenty cal for deer or elk, a little slow but sometimes that is fine. A 30-06 would be my choice.
