Red is the traditional color, but if there is another color that is associated with a special memory (like the color of the dress she wore on your first date or when you proposed), go with that and tell her why. She'll be happy that you remembered a day that was special to her. If you wrote a little poem to go with it, that would be even better. (Try it; it doesn't have to be great poetry, just sincere.)

I like yellow and peach and those new green ones where the rose is actually green with a bunch of babies breath , but everyones different.If you screwed up ,I'll tell you I never get why a man gives me roses when I'm pissed and expects everything to be O.K.That takes,changes ,time and real effort ,not to many hearts are bought by a rose ,I have seen a few woman fall for a diamond ring,or maybe a letter ,poem written from the heart,something that last,maybe a rose bush along with that personal letter.One rose dies as fast as some peoples love.

Red is the color of love, but if you are looking for something different, you can do the fire and ice roses, which are white with red tips. Another one would be a blue rose, becuase they are the only color rose which doesn't grow naturally.

How about 5 or 11 white roses and 1 single red rose. The red one signifies the love in your marriage and the white signifies the purity. Or Visa versa, which ever one you feel is more important in your relationship, love or purity.

Jason, a red rose would do the trick but I also love yellow roses, I would have probably given her three red roses with a yellow rose in their middle, also a box of chocolates (the ones that she likes), a diamond ring, a silk dress and a pair of embroidered shoes. Small things, insignificant things as you see, please a woman.

Supposedly the red rose is the one that means "love". Since my wife's favorite color is pink, she would prefer getting a pink rose rather than a red one. Trying to please her screams love more than anything else.
