okay, my boyfriend is 14 and is extremely close with his cousin and she is 18....I mean extremely close. He thinks I'm overreacting but he is OBSESSED with her! I love her to death though so it's hard to be mad for my boyfriend liking her. I think he's seriously in love....he always needs to hug her, chooses her over me. I feel like when she comes home from college I need to step aside so he can have her.

I've confronted him but he just says he looks up to her....yea right. He has a sister so it's not like he's the only child and his cousin has 2 other sisters that are 15 and 16. Why her?

I'm 15 for anyone that wants to know. It seems like his cousin wants him to do this and almost like she wants to make it jealous....and trust me it's working. But we used to be so close....

hey...to tell you the truth i don't think that hes trying to cheat on you. I guess he is really attached to your cousin. Which is not bad. But you should always remember no matter what he will always love you because he is your boyfriend; and sure maybe still after reading this you maybe very mad about him yet its ok think about the good times you have shared with him and then have a nice talk with him i needed. I think that is the best solution to solve.

Hmm, she's obviously a huge influence in his life and he seems to idolize her. There could be many reasons for this so it's not weird. She's older and can do things and associate with people he may wish to hang out with also. She probably hangs out with even older people and treats him as an adult rather than a kid. You will lose that battle for some time. That doesn't mean throw in the towel, just that you are armed to compete on that field ....yet. She sill get a boyfriend most likely and that's where the gravy train will end. She will suddenly not have to time for your boyfriend and he will seek solace...with someone...hint hint. That will be your chance to get back into the position in his life that you seek. Consider it growing pains. You have yours now, he'll have his coming and you'll know how he feels and what to say to him.
You can also just talk to his cousin and tell her how you feel. She may calm your soul. Plus in a few years, you'll be on equal footing. You'll be in college too and suddenly you'll have older guys fawning over you. Be careful as they will not all have good intentions so don't be fooled. College freshman are fodder for upperclassmen. Your boyfriend could suddenly find himself competing for your attention. This is life experience. It sucks but we all go through it. Just learn while you can. When you keep repeating hurt, that when you should get depressed.

Hmm, that can be a lil weird or maybe they are just extremely close. There could have been a life situation that made them that close to eachother and could be very harmless. Just give him that space when it comes to his family because you don't want to make him upset over it. I can tell you that I have cousins that I luv to be around, and just joke and laugh and goof around, always putting my arms around them and stuff but trying to be with them never crossed my mind. It just that when you've gone through so much with a person, you feel more than attached to them. Ask him what they were like growing up, you might find your answer then, and maybe even find out if he really does "like" her. But I don't think it's that serious, you will get your answer don't worry.

I think that your cousin, if she is so likeable, should have her boyfriend since she is in college to mess with a 14 yo. Later on in life that would be appropriate, but you need to talk to her to let her know the situation and how you feel. She will understand if she's your family. Hope that helps.

Alot of people fall in love with cousins. I would hope that the 18 year old would have better morals than to mess with her 14 year old relative.

I don't think you should step aside because thats like telling him he can have you later. And choose either of you whenever he wants. Goiung out with your cousin is wrong anyways. How old are you, if he's 14?

She is 18. So maybe she is telling him stuff he does not know and badly needs to know. If she is from college the odds are that she has some life experiences that she is telling him that probably attracts him to her. You should be carefull what you do because it moght come back to haunt you in the near future. You should take some time and really think this over.
I think they are wierd though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some people just show their love in different ways. Me and my cousin is real close. He is married and his wife doesnt worry about me. We are best friends. Just give your boyfriend some space. I think he will be okay.

imstead of typing all of this into the internet, maybe you should tell him everything you told us.
sounds creepy whatever is going on though..
you know, you are only 14, you have plenty of time to find a good guy, if he is making you feel uncomfortable you could always just break up with him, maybe you are too young for him..?
