My step mother is 67. she recently got divorced, but is handing it quite well. her only worry is not being able to find love again, because love was such an important thing in her life. she says " love or die "

I am getting married in Kentucky, but currently live in Alaska for graduate school. Since moving to Alaska, my fiancee and I have made many friends that obvisouly will be unable to travel to our wedding (as it costs over $500 to fly there). Do we still invite them, or will it seem like we are simply asking for gifts?

I am contemplating a divorce because I am in a very unhappy marriage. It is not abusive, just terribly empty. I want more for more life. Even if it is being without someone. I can't take being married to someone I do not love. But....I have children....I don't want to hurt them by seperating from their Dad. Of course both of us would still be in their lives. We both love them. But everyone says divorce is terrible on kids. So what do you think from your perspective as kids whose parents may be together and unhappy or who have chose to seperate?

I'm in a really complicated dilemma here. OK i'm 13, and a junior in high school. ( i skipped 3 grades, no joke). of course, i'm not about to date just cuz my older friends are dating. i'm mature enough to understand that.

the problem is, i'll be 15 when i start college. and i am anxious because i'll have absolutely no experience!!! ahh! i'll be the only college freshman with 0 dating experience.

Would you like a diamond or something different?

My husband is Persian and I'm Australian. Australians like myself love diamonds but Persians are sooo into gold and when he went to Iran he bought me a wedding ring but he has no idea about diamonds.

He bought a zerconia one which is masive and really pretty, he just liked it more than the others but I love it because its from him and he loves it too :)

I really like a coworker of mine. Problem is last night we were at the bar having a few drinks when she told me that she had a secret to tell me. Unfortunetly for me the secret was not exactly what I wanted to hear. She told me that she is seeing another guy from work, however she hasn't told anyone else besides her mom and brother about this guy. . Then she tells me that she loves me and gives me a hug. My mother in law is evil. She spreads stories, threatened to kill me a few years back (forgot it 2 days later though) abuses me when my husband is at work then says she was only joking, doesnt speak to us for a few months then gets angry at us for not calling her and makes up that she is dying and we didnt even care (for the record she is healthy) It was hubbys birthday yesterday and she didnt call, tries to turn my family against me and thats just the start of it, there is so much more. We are having a baby and my husband doesnt want her having anything to do with it and honestly I agree. I have not done anything but be pleasant to her, but I know that if we dont have her see her grandkid she will blame me for it. What can we do?

all adults thinks teens dont know anything about, life, love, etc. sure, we arent old, but we have lived, we're 13+, why do you always act like we're such kids and cant know what love is? how come you never aknolege the fact that we can feel things just as strong as you...its so annoying!! you say we're such adults and can control oursleves and all that ****, but when it comes to relationships and love, you think we dont know anything...
you adults need to check reality cuz we do...we arent dumb, some of us know how love feels and know more about it than youd think and give us credit for...so i ask you this...why dont you believe us when we talk about love? why do you always think we know nothing?!

My girlfriend and I have been dating for almost two years now. I will be twenty in June, and she's 19. Before I get answers on being too young, and whatever else, I am a sopohmore at Stanford University, and I acknowledge that school is the most important thing. We don't plan to actually get married until after graduation. I would love to propose to my girlfriend in the next year or so, I think, but I'd like some input on creative/fun ways to do it. I've never been one to follow the norm, so the whole one knee thing doesn't work for me.

Also, what about this idea? I'd like to take the families out to dinner where there's a live band, and sneak away. Then I'd like to borrow the mike and talk about something completely unrelated, and then say, "Do you mind if I embarass my girlfriend for a minute?" and then go from there. What do you think?
