Would you like a diamond or something different?

My husband is Persian and I'm Australian. Australians like myself love diamonds but Persians are sooo into gold and when he went to Iran he bought me a wedding ring but he has no idea about diamonds.

He bought a zerconia one which is masive and really pretty, he just liked it more than the others but I love it because its from him and he loves it too :)

Whats your opinion?

I don't personally have a ring or like jewelry at all
marriage is not about a ring it is about love and the life you share,

Zerconia looks like diamonds and they're really hot in Persian. Keep your wedding ring and later on get a solitaire diamond set in gold...that way both of you will be happy.

Gold is CHEAP that is probably why he claims to love it. I have known persian guys and they never would buy a girl a gold ring without a diamond in it.
The rarest best metal is actually Platinum, costs more and lasts longer than gold or white gold. I would give the ring back and make him buy one you want. If he doesnt get a platinum ring with a nice diamond in it then it sounds like he is not the man who you want to be with forever.
The man you call your husband should want to please you and make you happy. If he isn't buying something nice now then he doesnt plan on making you happy in the marriage.
A gold cubic zerconia ring is CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP that is why he bought it!

no way. if youre talking about cubic zerconia. thats cheap and i would rather any gem that is real over a fake one. i personally love my diamond ring, but as long as youre happy then what does it matter what everyone else thinks??

i would prefer a real diamond or just a plain gold band
but if you and him both love the zerconia, and that makes you happy, then keep that

I have always wanted a diamond ring, but to tell the truth I don't care. If my man wanted to marry me I would be so happy that any ring at all would be great.

Why don't you get a real diamond (same size, shape, etc.) put in where the zerconia in... I do not think it matters as long as it came from his heart!

put it this way: it's not about the actual rock, but the significant love that it symbolises. most people can't even tell the diference between a diamond and a cubic zirconium anyway. (you can see 'into' a diamond, cz's are kinda quartzy) and there are ways to cut and polish them so that it is impossible to determine what it is without special microscopes and such. it doesn't really matter what's on your finger, so long as you love each other. besides, cz is cheaper (not neccessarily in quality though) so you can afford to get a bigger one!

I think I would prefer that he really like the ring and not try to impress me. However, I like old fashioned looking rings so whatever stone in it doesnt matter, as long as he took the time out from his busy busy day!! lol Your beau sounds darling and so do u! Happy nuptuals.

TAKE LOVE ANY DAY FROM YOUR MATE OVER A DIAMOND RING .. LOVE IS MUCH MORE MORE IMPORTANT THAN BLINGBLING SO YOUR LADY FRIENDS CAN HATE U WITH JEALOUSY DAGGERS LOL!! i'd give anything to have my husbands love more than all the materialistic crap he gives me everytime he comes home from business trips.. i'd like to have time instead of trinkettes
