Family & Relationships - 13 October 2006

So, it looks like this weekend I'll be meeting my mom's first boyfriend since she and my dad got divorced. The divorce "process" started about a year ago and finished up only about 3 months ago.

I have to say, I really hate the way my mother has been dealing with this. She seems to be treating me like I'm too stupid to know that she's been seeing someone for about the past six months.

So, anyway, she's been planning to come visit my brother and me at college for a few weeks, and then she sends my brother a small little text message yesterday saying she is bringing her "friend" who "has been helping her out a lot since the divorce". It's worth noting that I had spoken to her just prior to that on the phone and she didn't bring it up.

I am feeling very uneasy and stressed out about this whole situation. I have so many mixed emotions, and I just don't know if I'm going to be able to handle being around this guy. Any advice to help ease my stress and frustration would be appreciated.

My aunt is my hero because when I was going through some hard times in my life, she supported me and did everything she could to help me in any way possible.
She's my mom in a way because when my mom left, she was there for and she is still here for me.
I am so bless to have her in my life and I thank god for bringing her in my life each and every single day.

So who is your hero and why that person?

Ive been married for 9 years. I have a giving husband,a wonderful son,a beautiful home.Let's just say I work for fun & not cuz I have to. I should feel blessed & happy for having it all but I don't. I have never stopped thinking about my ex bf. We had a wonderful life when we were together. We went out for 4 years & the only reason why we broke it off was cuz of my parents. They did not like him. Now, it's been over 11 years since I last saw him and my parents finaly fessed up and told me that he tried to contact me several times after we broke up. They had tore all the letters he had written to me. They told me he had stopped by the house for months after I had moved out in search of me. They went as far as to tell him that I had moved out with a bf. Now, I want him even more. I find myself crying every day. My heart aches for him. Everytime I think of him, I get butterflies in my stomach. Shall I follow my heart & search for him? Shall I do nothing & stay with my family?

so i've been my gf for 4 months
and before that we were already in love
and at first she said she wanted to wait to have sex until we got married..when she did stuff with an old bf every day...
then she suddenly changed her mind
her reasons for wanting to wait were "it'll be better...what if it changes things? what if you dump me after we have sex?"
then she said "well it probably won't happen"

I have many friends, but often feel like an outcast when I'm with a large group of them. I prefer to do things on my own or with my family, and it seems that when my friends want to get together, it interfers with what I have already planned. My friends then get annoyed because I can't make it, or I can't stay all night. Am I an outcast, or does this happen in everyone's relationships? I'm curious if anyone else feels this way?
