I am a big girl but I like a football player, do I have a chance?

hey of course its possible, listen im a biger girl and ive dated all types of guys and yes a football player was one of them, some guys arent in to looks as much as you may think, but i tell you what keep your head up and think of yourself as beautiful the more self esteem the better, hey im bigger and im marrried to a wondrful guy who i htink is very goodlooking and could probablydo better but he loeves me for me

Anybody can be attracted to anybody, basically. There are no rules. I have known a couple of big women that had it going on but they carried themselves well, were super-intelligent, exquisitely well-groomed, and treated a guy like a king. But in the case of a big girl dating an athlete, we probably have a mismatch here. Athletes are all about keeping the body in shape so they can perform at a certain level. So they generally hook up with someone who understands that vibe. Diet and exercise and so forth. Lots of running. And athletes generally hang around with other athletes. And any girls that hang around with that group better be able to fit on, be part of the group, share the behavior and goals of the group. Sorry, that's the way it's been since caveman days, no matter what kind of crap they're teaching in school nowadays. But hey, it's not just big girls who lose out a lot of the time. How 'about short guys? No girl wants to go out with a guy shorter than herself. They like 'em tall. At least you can do something about your disadvantage. Stop eating the wrong stuff. Short guys can't grow,

Oh sweetheart, my heart goes out to you because I KNOW exactly where you are at right now! I used to be borderline obese until I came out of the closet and lost 100 lbs. However before that, I used to pine for what I thought was impossible. Like someone before me stated, you have to happy with yourself before people really take notice of you. I seriously believe that loosing the weight was only a small part of why I suddenly became "popular with the boys", it was mostly because I felt great about myself and that I resolved my daemons. I WAS an emotional eater and yes I did allot of things like go to the gym 5 days a week and change my diet, but the truth is I started loosing weight at first because I was happy with myself. That motivated me to do all the extra stuff to tone myself up. The more I saw the results of hard work & a free mind, the more people took notice of me.
However, the most important thing you need to know is that you don't have to be thin to be HAPPY, SEXY and appealing to the opposite sex. I can think of MANY examples of smart, sexy & confident big girls who just ooze sexuality and joy. How many men would say NO to Queen Latifa? She's pretty DAMN HOT and seems pretty happy as well!
I guess what I'm saying is: If you want him (or any guy) to take notice of you ... you have to take notice of yourself first and work on that. I hope this helps ... good luck & lots of luv babe. I wish nothing but the best for you.

To be honest with you, and I hope it does not hurt your feelings... it is very unlikely that a football player will go for, look at or even fancy a big girl.
The reason for this is that most football players aspire to the famous footballers who have skinny &/or blonde girlfriends or wives. Because of this it is likely that a footballer does not want to deviate from the 'norm'.
In addition, footballs are quite fit aswell and in their mind a 'big' girl would not fit into their lifestyle.
I am really sorry to tell you this. I hope the other's who reply to your question are honest and polite.

Yes it is possible. Firstly you may not be "fat". I am amazed by how many women call themselves harsh words when they look a lot better than they think the do. We all have insecurities - even great looking people have insecurities about the way they look.
If you don't try, you won't get, so you need to step up and consider approaching this guy and show your interest. When you talk to him, watch for the signs. Does he smile? Does he seem interested in what you have to say? Does he approach you (after you both have met) by himself? Ask questions about you? etc. etc. etc.

it is very much possible / but are you wanting to go out with him cause he is a football player or does he have a great personality/
ask your self from what you know about him do you really want him to like you / if you are a really nice person and he is a butt
than maybe you should go for someone ells

Don't you realize looks are only on the outside. The beauty, kindness, honesty, love and compassion are all on the inside. I have dated queen size women and have had a fantastic time. Hang in there, if the jock doesn't appreciate you, some other guy, even better, will notice you.

It's odd that your over weight and going after a guy who's athletic. I could see a fat and skinny together but not overweight and athletic. Tell me if you could make a choice of who would have to change, would it be you having to diet or would you like him to eat more and become chubby? That answer you just thought should tell you what to do. However, you should still go for it.
