so i've been my gf for 4 months
and before that we were already in love
and at first she said she wanted to wait to have sex until we got married..when she did stuff with an old bf every day...
then she suddenly changed her mind
her reasons for wanting to wait were "it'll be better...what if it changes things? what if you dump me after we have sex?"
then she said "well it probably won't happen"
and i don't get why she would change her mind cause i've tried convincing her many times

sometime's i'll joke around with her about making me wait

So now she wants to have sex and you are puzzled?
Kissing is more than an expression of affection.

It takes only once then 9 months and then 18 to 22 years of total responsibility for 1 child.

She undoubtedly has been hurt in the past and it has scarred her. It may take her years to get over that insecurity. You will be the one to suffer for what some other guy did to her! I can understand her theory about waiting. It's probably cause the last time she rushed in to it blindly and look what she got. So you are more important to her as well as protecting her feelings so she wants to do it right this time. It makes since, don't you learn from you r mistakes too? If she means anything think to you, you have to be patient and give her lots of time, keep reassuring her & show her by the little things yo can do for her!

She thinks the only reason why you want to be with her or stay with her is because of the sex... yeah she loves you but shes scared that if she doesnt give it up soon your going to leave her in the dust... you need to talk to her about that!! Reasure her its not like that, the more comfortable she is around you the better chances are its going to be way better once you get it...:) Just tell her you dont want to right now if nothing else... see what she says...

she knows from experience that with sex comes short term relationships and she really, really loves you and wants it to work so she is wanting to wait. If you dump her like the other guy said she will then know she did the right thing.
You should be happy she is finally grown up and that means her love is real

She might have realized that you were the one she wanted to be with and that you would be seriuos about it and not leave her afterward. Or she could have felt that you were pressuring her and she thought if she didnt you would leave her. just ask her why she changed her mind. talk to her. and if it seems fishy hold off and wait to see what happens. im sure it was because she realized it would be fine. good luck, hang in there.

Maybe you shouldn't have "tried convincing her"... that probably really annoyed her and put her in a tough position. Girls don't like to be convinced of things!
