Any confident people out there? Please give me advice. I'm rather shy, but i am trying to be a more confident person. Usually confident people talk a lot and people dislike them and think they're arrogant.

I'm a single 43 yr. old male and I'm a musician. My primary interest is listening to and playing music. I go to the gym 5 days a week and there's a woman that I met there that likes me. One day she was on a workout machine next to me and she turned her little flat screen T.V. to CMT...I can't stand country music!! I don't think that she would appreciate Frank Zappa very much, either. Should I overlook this and ask her out anyway?

my mom is a packrat... she never tells anyone no when it comes to useless junk.. my stepdad stopped helping her clean up and now im getting close too... she just takes stuff and piles it up in our house.. it started with our enclosed front porch and then our garage and now she has piles of stuff EVERYWHERE... she wont let us have a yardsale but she never takes the time to go through and see what she wants and what to throw away she just piles it somewhere... our house looks trashy all the time... its so embarrasing does anyone have any ideas of what i can do.. i need to unclutter this shyt but my mom never wants to do it

My bf of 2yrs. breaks up with me last night after our homecomin dance without any explanation.

He calls me 3 times the next mornin tellin me its cause hes tired of seein me unhappy, that he still loves me, & that he wants to be friends.

I tell him that he dont love me if he can just break up with me like that & that I cant just be friends with him cause that will just be harder to get over the fact were not together.

I had to tell my parents last night cause they saw how upset I was & that I was cryin. They think that if its that easy for him to break up with me for something that aint even like he thinks, then I shouldnt get back with him if he wants too.

Well he calls again tellin me, that he made a mistake, & that he still loves me & wants to be with me if Im happy with him.

I dont know what to do now?
I love him to death, & im heartbroken that he can just do that, but should I get back with him after that?

Two years ago I was confident feeling young and physicaaly in great shape but an illness has changed me pysically somewhat and I cant seem to pull the same birds as i used to. Is there an easy way to drop your standards and fall in love at the same time?

My husband's grandmother died last night.

Today, as my husband and I were making arrangements to send flowers for the funeral, my mother-in-law called and told us that the poor dead woman's daughters have decided that in lieu of flowers, they just want cash!! Not money to be donated to a worthy cause, but rather just money outright in their pockets (funeral arrangements were pre-made & paid for in advance).

We think this is exceptionally offensive and rather tacky of them (like this is just a way to get money for their "grief"). What's your opinion?

I got to know her online and so our first meeting was somewhat a blind date. She's kind, pretty, and we get along well, but I wasn't expecting her to be so thick, and I've always been more attracted to fit women. So basically I was disappointed with the lack of physical attractedness. I would hate myself for hurting her because she just moved into town and she's loney, but I don't want to lie to her and can't help the way I feel. Keep in mind I've known her and talked a lot for weeks, so this is more than simply a blind date. I feel there needs to be some kind of explanation, so how do I tell her? I'd even like to tell her it's in her best interest for her health, and might consider continuing the relationship if she at least agrees to try hard to lose weight. Is this a lose-lose situation? Please only serious responses, and I'd like to hear from both males and females.
