I'm a single 43 yr. old male and I'm a musician. My primary interest is listening to and playing music. I go to the gym 5 days a week and there's a woman that I met there that likes me. One day she was on a workout machine next to me and she turned her little flat screen T.V. to CMT...I can't stand country music!! I don't think that she would appreciate Frank Zappa very much, either. Should I overlook this and ask her out anyway?

Of course! The music that you each listen to should have no influence on whether or not you ask her out. If the attraction is there, then go for it. You don't have to like her choice in music, to like her. Wear headphones in the car or something when you go out together if it bothers you that bad.

yes.....because if you didnt, (because of that fact) that would just make you shallow.....and your not right?... besides it could develope into something great...for instance my male friend is more of the skater/Xgames/rocker type, and im more into hip hop etc....but hes a great guy, i go with him to his skate shows and they're pretty fun actually, we have a great time together....so go for it..
