Because your boyfriend or husband is abusive, whether it be verbal or not, or both, why do you stay with them? Is it because you love them? You're scared, or you just dont want to be alone, and you feel like he's the only one for you? Just curious...cuz im in a situation where i need this answer! We usually let the village children use our swimmimg pool while we have our summer break but an earth tremor has cracked the lining and it's being repaired while we are away. The villagers are demanding their four week use when it's ready but we will be back in residence and I've said no. Now I'm told we being thought of as old meanies. How to placate them?

I'm trying to get him to wash the dishes because he is the one who uses them. He is a stay-at-home dad and I work full time outside of the home. I wash the dishes every night and always come home to a sink full of dishes. I like to spend time with the baby until she goes to sleep, and then I have to wash the dishes, wash the bottles and do my homework (I am also a half-time student) and usually don't get to sleep until 2 AM. I was just wondering if there are any men out there who wash their own dishes.

Ok so I'm a 20 year old girl who has been flirting with this 40 year old guy, a divorcee with kids, who happen to be my best friends brother. We have a mutual attraction of some sort, and I don't want any one to get hurt. My friend has made some commetns about us and it seems that she would be fine with it if something would happen between me and her brother. I dont want to confuse him or myself, and i sertainly dont want to start something that could be a problem in the future. Am I just looking for some FUN at the wrong place and time, is it normal? i met this guy in college and after a week i plucked up the courage to say hi, for the next week we got on well, then i asked him out and he said no cos he didn't want a gf, but im still not sure if he likes me or not cos we have such a laugh and get on so well, we've only known each other for two weeks but we spend alot of time together when we're in college. We sit by each other in all the classes we have and on the bus, if he does like me why doesn't he want to go out with me. Don't mind the spelling, that's just how kids type nowadays, but do you think she will accept this? She says we are best friends, I don't treat her badly, I just don't always express my feelings, and this is the only way I could. How do you think this will go with her? And do you think she will bring it up? Or just leave it as something we know I sent?
