You're the one that was in the relationship--not your friends. Therefore, it's your decision to end it--not theirs. Just as long as you go about things in a mature, civilized manner there shouldn't be a problem with him or your friends. People can break up amicably. And if people get "pis-sed" off, that's their problem--not yours.

First of all, why would you be with someone you barely know and second of all if they are your closest friends like you say they are then they will understand. But do what you want to do and quit worrying about what everone else is thinking. If they get mad at you they really arent your friends but next time be more mature to actually date someone you do know a bit better.

You don't date someone because other people like them or not...you date them because YOU like them...if you stop dating him, that doesn't mean those people can't still be friends with him...

If it's not working for you, then do both of you a favor and end it (as gently as possible)...why should either of you waste time together when at least one of you isn't diggin' it? If you go your separate ways, then at least you'll both have the opportunity to meet someone who WILL dig you and be happy with you (and vice versa).

Live your life for you...not for others...

Either stay with him to please everyone else, or find a new boyfriend and tell your friends to get over it.

Or, talk to your current boyfriend about the issues you have and see if they can be resolved.
