My friend is almost 40 and has had very little dating success. He has dated two women for several months, that in my opinion seemed interested at first, but was unable to strike up any chemistry with them and get beyond being friends. He is dating a new lady tonight and needs all the advice he can get.

How do you strike up the romance on a date? (Both on the first date or later on down the line.)

My boyfriend recently broke up with me because and I quote "to keep from cheating on me" He had already done that I found out after the fact. I was in an abusive relationship before and he knew this. He bought me a wedding ring and promised that he would never leave me and my baby (18 mos.) who called him daddy. I am thinking that there is something wrong with me to be attracting all these losers. I wrote manwhore on his front door with sidewalk chalk. Was I wrong to do this? Is there something wrong with my personality that makes men want to abuse me?

I cheated on my husband one time before we were married or even engaged. He has always suspected that I cheated on him with my best friend from work and I have always denied it. After our son was born I finally came clean because he kept questioning me about it. Now he is leaving. I thought he loved me enough to forgive me. Apparantly I was wrong. Now he doesn't trust me and he thinks it happened with many guys over and over again. Would you leave your marriage for a one time mistake like this???

I really like this guy who I met at work and he likes me too. He is a real gentleman, tells me nice things, makes me feel good and is everything that a woman could ever want and need. Only problem is he has a girlfriend and Im not sure if i'm wastign my time with him or not. I really really like him and I havent been this happy in a long time...he also told me that him and his gf are not seeing eye to eye right now but when I'm not with him i'm sad cuz I always wonder if he's with her. Im confused because I want to leave him alone because I feel like I would only get hurt in the end but on the other end I like him soo much and I see soo much great potential in him as my bf. Why emotional dependance? Why a better half? Why does loneliness exist? Why a strangely unassuming bond? Why call it love when its just a series of neural growth explosions? Why search for unconditional love from another?

LOL - It's just that I feel that this one thing clouds my judgement at times - In my line of work, emotions, take the back seat and its always clarity, perception and alertness that matters.
