Yes, it should. there are many different kinds of love. Parents love their children, you love your pets, you love your friends, you may love your car, a favorite teddy bear, a special place. Love isn't always a romantic love and YES it exists.

Yes, there is such a thing as love.
One problem is that most people get confused and think the intoxicating mixture of novelty and hormones is love, when in fact love is what's still around after that mixture wears off. I know some people think it's ridiculous to have a long engagement, but I think a lot of people don't have long *enough* of one - I'd rather wait too long to get married than to make that sort of promise and then find out I can't keep it.
Another problem is that some marriages were never based on love to begin with. People connive and trick others into marrying them because they're afraid of being alone, or their families are pressuring them to settle down (with little to no regard for the person's actual happiness), or they're knocked up. I also know a couple where the guy was more enamored of being a daddy than he was of being a husband, so once the kids hit their teen years, the marriage fell apart 'cause there wasn't anything left.
But yes; love exists. It's just that some folks have forgotten what it looks like.

Yes there is such a thing as love. The reason there are so many divorces is because of lack of knowledge. Couples are not willing to work on their marriages. Soon as things are not going the way they want them they are ready to throw in the towel. The bible says: What God has joined together, let no man put asunder. If couples would learn to put God into their marriages and pray, God could give them the wisdom and knowledge they need in order to make their marriages work. Thats if they truly wanted them to work. Couples should persevere through all obstacles, hard times, and trouble that comes their way. Communicate with one another to try and resolve the problem rather than getting a divorce. Only time God justifies divorce is adultery. Other than that, couples should work through their problems and stop being selfish. When they can do that then there is the love.

Life is not a fairy tale that your going to be inlove all the time, of course you have to work on the relationship to keep the love flowing, that is why there is a lot of divorces because they choose not to work on the relationship anymore, and I don't think that word love should be taken out in the dictionary, that is just a stupid thing to say because there is a lot of kind of love, like love coming from your parents, love from a real friend, etc.

Yes there is such a thing as love. The problem is people are so afraid of being alone, and of not findign the person to be with. Most people don't realize that love is soemthing that you don't look for, it just happens, and not all loves last.
Love is a transient thing. As are all emotions. So there ya go.

Remember love does not equal magic. There is nothing that will keep you in that state of fluttery-I-just-can't-stop-thinking-of-you forever. Marriage takes a lot of work and sacrifice. I have been married for nine years. I still love love love my husband! It hasn't always been easy, but we choose everyday to build our relationship!
Love is an abstract concept. It should be in the dictionary because it is an English word.

First of all, the word "Love" is in the dictionary.
Secondly, Love does exist. My parents have been married over 40 years, and they still love each other as much as (if not more than) the day they got married. Forget the stupid celebrity/Hollywood fakey romances. Real Love does exist. I know a bunch of couples that are happy and have been together forever.

I think the word gets misused a lot. Maybe that's why it doesn't feel strong when my husband and I say it to each other. We feel our actions say much more. I do say it to my son because he's too young to understand actions... he's too young to understand the word too, but at least he'll grow up hearing it.
It's sad that there are so many divorces and splits... but there are also a lot of unprepared marriages and people getting trapped into relationships... and having children too young.. You have to look at the big picture and why it's happening. There are no divorces in my family, so I grew up thinking it wasn't the norm.

yes there is a such thing as love but people confuse it with lust..at first there is a lust for the other person that is very intense..what is left after that is love..how you live together..get along in every day life..after the lust goes away do you still want to be by that person for the rest of your life despite their imperfections? that is love!
