i am too shy to ask someone out!! and the Sady Hawkins dance is coming up on october 12!! please help me! what should i do, im desperate!

Honey, there is nothing wrong with not having had a boyfriend! My best friend is almost 22 years old, and she has never had an exlusive boyfriend before. She is gorgeous, dates all the time, and is so happy! Proof right there...you don't need to have a boyfriend right now, you're young and you should live life! But to live life, you need to get out there and have some fun. Try to hang out with boys, find guys to take out, get outa your shell and ask someone out! Don't be afraid, and if rejected shrug your shoulders and move on to the next! Guys love confident girls. Let your hair down, enjoy the single life, and be confident with the boys (but don't comprimise your standards for them!) Life is good!

If you have a guy in mind you better start smiling at him & talking to him a lot now to let him know you're interested. If you strike up a friendship with him then it shouldn't be too hard to ask him. If you ask and he says no just act like it's no big deal. Tell him you only asked because you thought it would be fun to go make fun of the way people are dancing or something like that. :-)

Hello, If things aren't going the way you want them- then it's usually because your waiting for someone else to make it happen . You need to take charge & make something happen. You know what you need to do (even if you don't feel like it) Walk up to some boy that you would like to go to the dance with & talk to him& ask him out! if he says no it's not the end of the world- it just means that you try again with someone else.Get a friend to go with you & encourage you to speak up( ever see that movie "Anger Management" when Jack Nickelson made Adam Sandler ask that girl out)....you can do it you just have to try hard enough...I'm wishing the best for you ...gooed luck!

Just get up the nerve to ask someone ur into, if he says no, then go with a close guy friend, or just go alone, I'll be funner, u can dance with all these guyz that ask ya, or with a group of your friends. Just Have Fun you don't need a guy to do that. You'll Be OTAy, Don't be desperate!!

you don't necessarily have to go do, i'm 29 and never had a boyfriend either, but i am happy anyways. never even went to the dance. so don't stress over it. i know how the popularity system might work in school, but you'll still live w/o going to the dance. you still have time. just talk to guys normally. it's different for everyone. and don't worry about never having a boyfriend. your time will come.

The key is to not be desperate. Do you have a simple friend that you could go with, just for starters? Maybe ask him. Or, if not, get a group of girlfriends together and go with them, Chances are they'll make you feel better than any guy. :-)

well i know what you are going through i was going through the same thing last yr. but like they are sayin you need to come out of that shell as long as you feel pretty everyone will say you are pretty you need to let those guys see you like never before like people say "show them what yo momma gave you"
try to look the best like no one has ever seen you

you don't need a boyfriend to go to the dance...go ahead and go and have a good time,,,maybe at the dance you'll meet a someone,,,,,,and what ever you do,,,don't show yourself being desperate!! good luck and have a ball !!
