All I know is in the 60's he was in the military in Honolulu, Hawaii. There he met my mother. They fell in love and he asked for her hand in marriage before he had to leave for duty in the US mainland. My mothers family did not like him, because he was of another ethnicity. They kept them from getting married and forbid my Mom from ever seeing him again. She finally got a chance to secretly meet him and they spent their last moment together before he left for his next military assignment in the US mainland. They never saw each other again after that. I am now 39yo and I just recently found this out. All I have on him is his last name. I have been lied to all my life regarding who my "real" Dad is. I just want to meet him and I want him to know that I exist and that he has a son from the woman he was in love with and wanted to marry...my Mom.

I'm 20 years old and I live in Russia(south-east part).
It is common for a girl to get married at 16 if not less.My boyfriend(I've been with him for over 2 years) thinks it's time for me to setlle down.I'm studing biology and thought about having a career.I talked to him and told him about my goals but he,just like my family wants me to be in the house and cook and clean...
I love him but I don't think I'm ready to get married and leave my dreams behind, should I do it after all?I already told him that I could do both, taking care of the households and working...but he has plans of his own.It is hard to be different.I was thinking about moving to another country were I would have a bright future but I love my family and my country.
What should I do?
Thank you.

My parents divorced, the remarried to other people, then both divorced again. My girlfriend is worried about the statistic that children whose parents are divorced have an especially high divorce rate, and that when we get married we'll just get divorced. So my question is this: Why do "statistics" mean anything to people? If I say I can have a successful relationship becuase I really love her, whose to say I can't have that becuase my parents made a few mistakes? If you agree on me, or feel like being another person to tell me I'm wrong and will not have good relationships, please share.

they are always saying men cant appreciate the scarifices made by women. but the bottom line is men have made greater sacrifices than women in all fields like freedom fight, science and so on. men cant get pregnant and for that reason they have to put up with the womens'claim inspite of having made greater sacrifices. if you giv a woman a chance to be a man i think she wud probly be happy to do so. what do you think

I want to know if there are any women out there that were 110% convinced their husband had or is having an affair? I am in this situation right now, and despite a denial of the affair from both him and her (I asked her, too), I have alot of supporting evidence that says otherwise. My question is, did you get past it? Did you ever find the strength to trust him again? Is there hope for a marriage in this situation? I love my husband and want to forgive him and trust him again, but I question everything he does, if he's away from me, I question everywhere he's been. And I know this isnt healthy. Am I in a no win situation and delaying the inevitable? And if there is hope, what can I do or me and my husband do to get past this? We've been married for 10 years, we're both 31, and have 2 kids. It's so easy for the answer to be, "If my husband ever cheated on me, I'd walk out in a second." But when you're actually living it, its easier said than done. If any1 can relate please answer.

went to college from 2001 until last (spring semester) this year, then dropped out this semester.
It kinda dawned on me it was all a waste, I mean most of it was. Chemistry, biology.. I mean a lot of this stuff was good for my own personal knowledge I guess but I hardly remember the details for pretty much everything. This sucks.
I think about it now and it's like.. 6 years.. where have they gone, I don't remember anything from the last 6 years. All a waste. This is like a tragic loss to me. Like being in a coma for 6 years.
I don't plan on ever going back, and I don't need a degree (as I'm not interested in having a "job" or being "employed"), I have other means and will start a business soon.

Considering all things...it feels better than a condom, the woman doesnt have to drive around town looking for a morning after pill, and raw sex is so much better than abstinence (abstinence is dumb)

Hi everybody, this question is for adult persons !
I wanna know how can you describe your relationship with your parents?
what do you feel about them?
feel gratitude or not?
think that when they grow up more and more, they became unbearable?
is that embarrassing to be with your mom or dad in a public area?

I have been dating this girl( she's 16 and i'm 17) for a while now and her parents out of blue want the relationship over, they have grounder her to he room, no music, phone, comp, TV, not able to hang out with her friends or anything such as that. They let her call me last night to tell me whats going on and that this is the way its gonna stay till we break up. Both her parents don't listen to what anyone has to say. She was crying on the phone the whole time she was telling me what they told her. I'm expecting a call from them in 8 hours. But every time i even think about saying "it's over" i tear up. Even thou I know it is the only logical choice for her to be happy. I just want to make her happy. I Know she won't be happy over this at first but she will be happy later. But still why is it still so hard for me to say "it's over"?

I don't mind giving advice and all but why do you people ask the same questions over and over again? It just seems like the same questions are being recycled.

Been dating this guy for 2 months now.....HE IS PERFECT!!!!Went to dinner tuesday night, got to the restruant and he got out of the car with a bouquet of flowers, pink, yellow and red....so pretty. He was like, I was thinking about you all day and just thought I would get you some flowers! We ate and then we went to my house, talked and he gave me a hand massage, back massage, leg massage, foot massage you name it. We did some kissing....nothing more then that has happened in the last 2 months, which I think is great, neither of us is rushing it. We hung out until 2 in the morning, . He was telling me that usually he knows with in the first month whether it is going somewhere, and that he really doesnt think that anything is going to go wrong with us to make him uninterested in me. He is talking very futuristic, planning months in advance. I am nervous because I dont want to get all excited only to be disappointed and hurt later...how do I prevent this? We didnt even talk yesterday :(

I'm 40yr postgraduate professional in Dehra Dun India, happily married. For the last few weeks I'm desperate to have sex with anyone else (someone -- straight and decent). I've never been unfaithful before, but now I get this urge to do IT just once ! Otherwise, I'm a healthy, normal person, non alcoholic non smoker. Ofcourse, I'm worried about the social implications of being "caught".
What do u think I should do and is it normal?
Should I go ahead .... just once ?

I have been talking to a guy online and we set up a date for today. I haven't heard back from him since my last email 2 days ago. He was online last night but didn't email me back. I sent him a message and am still waiting to hear back. I don't like to go out to meet someone without confirming. It is only a few hours till our meeting. Should I go out anyway since it isn't a big deal as it is a regular hangout place for me so if he isn't there, it wouldn't look weird or should I make other plans for myself since he hasn't had the consideration to answer back. Or is he just the type that doens't confirm at the last minute?
