I love my parents very much and I am very grateful for what they have done for me over the years. I only wish I could be in public with my dad, he passed away recently. I'd give anything to be with him one more time...

I love my parents very much and i have a great relationship with them. A nd i will always be indebted to them for all they have done for me. For all the sacrifice and love they have shown, and for making the person i am today. They have taught me alot in life. When yr young its only natural to think yr parents don't understand u. But when u get older u tend to understand why they did what they did. Its b coz they love u and they would do any thing to make u happy. I will never be embarrassed by my parents. I just only hope and pray that some day i too can be as good human beings as they are. I'm proud of my parents and i feel damn lucky to have them in my life!!!!!!

No, not embarrassed by my parents. I have a good relationship with my parents although that's not always been the case. I love them both. They are divorced now and both have moved away. But I do miss them. We have a better relationship now than when I was growing up.

I have come to terms with my mother. My father, whom i loved dearly, is dead.
There was a time when I wished I was adopted, and maybe there will be a time when I will wish it again but now it's okay, we treat each other as equals.
I can't exactly say that I love her, there have been too many issues in the past, but I like her. And no, she's not embarrassing in public ;)
I'm 31.

How old are you? As an adult, I can say that I cherish my parents. I didn't get along with my mother almost all my teenage life, but now as an adult I can understand her, where she was coming from, what her shortcomings were and why. We truly get along now. Independence from my parents (financial) was all I ever wanted. Our relationship improved dramatically after I moved out and began my own adult life. I am grateful for all the sacrifices they made for me. I am not embarrassed to be seen in public with them. That question of yours was why I asked your age! Adults generally are not embarrassed to be seen with family members in public. Anyway, good luck. Parents usually get better (more mellow) with age.

Even hough I'm still in college, lately my relationshiop with my mom has taken a huge turn for the better. Probably partly because I finally got to move out on my own- people are a lot easier to tolerate in small doses. :)

Not embarrassing for me. I haven't seen my mom in years so I wouldn't know how it feels.
