The past is the past. It can only hurt you if you let it. I witnessed my boyfriend committing suicide 13 years ago and it took a long time to let it go, but once I did I felt so much better. Guilt, shame, abuse, heartache, I have been through it all and believe me, it's not easy.I have been to therapy and it helped a lot just to talk to someone. You first have to recognize the hurt and then work through it. Remember they are only feelings and they can't hurt you. You will not be able to be happy until you find a way to let the past go. Forgive whoever hurt you or forgive yourself if that is what is needed. Pray for God to remove the hurt that you feel from the past and ask him to help you let go! We all have a past but looking back on it will only keep you in it. Move forward, today is a new day. Stay in the moment and look forward not backwards! Remember God loves you and will get you through your hard times! What doesn't kill us makes us stronger! Use the past as a tool for your future!

I am not sure what you cant let go of, but boy I have this trouble at times. It is only with certain subjects..well I should say people. I just can't forgive certain people for what they have done or said. I try to take the high road but that isn't easy. I am sure there are thousands of people out there who have the same issue as you do. You aren't alone, but you do need to discuss it to help let it go.

Theraphy is the best way to learn the skills to move past experiences and traumas.
I wouldn't recommend talking to strangers.
Good luck

FIRST YOU NEED TO ACKNOWLEDGE WHAT EVER THE PROBLEM IS........TALK ABOUT IT, CRY ABOUT IT, GRIEVE IT, DEAL WITH IT AND LET IT GO.
THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT A LOT OF WESTERNERS HAVE. THEY HOLD ON TO OLD BAGGAGE AND IT DISRUPTS THEIR LIVES.
