I have been dating this girl( she's 16 and i'm 17) for a while now and her parents out of blue want the relationship over, they have grounder her to he room, no music, phone, comp, TV, not able to hang out with her friends or anything such as that. They let her call me last night to tell me whats going on and that this is the way its gonna stay till we break up. Both her parents don't listen to what anyone has to say. She was crying on the phone the whole time she was telling me what they told her. I'm expecting a call from them in 8 hours. But every time i even think about saying "it's over" i tear up. Even thou I know it is the only logical choice for her to be happy. I just want to make her happy. I Know she won't be happy over this at first but she will be happy later. But still why is it still so hard for me to say "it's over"?

Anything that comes to an end is sad. Perception of a situation can help of hinder, try looking at this differently, don't say "its over" say "its not our time right now" leaving the door open for a future with this person. This new time will open new opportunities and new challenges, and it will be sweet when the time comes when this person is available in the future, and it will happen. Never close the door completely. Tell her she is worth the wait....

Most normal people become attached to others. So when you get out of a relationship it is more of not having the other person in your life because there is a void. When you fill that void with someone or something else it will not bother you as much.

It's hard coz u lov her. It's hard coz u know she hasn't don anything to turn u off her. If her parents are bent on seperating u two then let it go. She might come back when the trummer is over.

Maybe your feelings are deeper seeded than you thought. But it seems unfair her parents would force you to break up. But they are the parents maybe they see and know things you don't.

Have you already put yourself in her parent's shoes? Why is it that they don't want this relationship?
