After 30 years of marriage, my father's side of the family still has not accepted my mother. To this day they emotionally and verbally attack and abuse her. When is enough, enough? How can we respectfully say, "ENOUGH!" Please help!

To explain the whole background to the story would take quite a lot of space. So I will summarise the bare bones of what is happening.
Husband and I had a falling out with his sister last year. Basically her friend who was living with us told the sister a lot of lies about us (things we supposedly said and did) and the sister starting texting me with abuse, threatened to bash me etc etc. So we have not spoken with her since.
Last night husbands brother texted us out of the blue and started abusing me, saying horrible things about me. We had not even seen/talked to him in over a month as he lives interstate. Now he is threatening us.
We have done nothing wrong, and husbands parents have said they agree that we have done nothing wrong, that the 2 kids are on drugs and causing trouble. So we have decided to cut contact with the family with the exception of the parents.
Has anyone else ever had to do this? How did you go when it came time for major family events?

i had known this guy 4 ever- literally. we had been friends since we were toddlers and i had sorta looked at as a little brother. he's only a year younger than me. and then are parents stopped talking (we knew eachother threw our parents).recently our parent began talking again and we were "reintroduced". he has changed- he's become more mature and much much MUCH cuter. and now it just feels weird looking at him as a crush. what do i do?

My boyfriend and I have been living together for over 2 years now. We've been having some problems and went to our Pastor for some guidance. He recommended a temporary separation. Living apart but still being together. My boyfriend went and got another place thinking some time apart might do us some good since we are together most of the day everyday. I'm crushed. I feel as though he's backing out in his commitment to me. I wanted to move forward and I see this as a step backward. I do see ways that this could help us, but I just feel like he's walking out on me. More than anything I'm scared he'll decide that he doesn't want to be with me or that he'll find someone else. I love him more than anything and I just can't picture my life without him. Has anyone else tried this? How did it work? Anyone have any ideas? Anything at all would be helpful.

We have been dating for two and a half years, and I love him. Sometimes when we fight, he says really hurtful things- by naming our friends that he thinks are better looking then me. I've never been so hurt in my life. But i always keep going back to him because I care so much. I really don't know what to do anymore, because I hate crying every night over him. After this, I just don't think I'm going to find a guy that will treat me right, because he has me thinking that there are so many things wrong with me. Please help- any advice would be great=(.

As far as I can remember I've been attracted to women's feet. So i'm going to be a junior in high school next year and i have been in love with the same girl for about 5 years now. We had a very brief relationship during the first few months we knew each other, then it ended but we became best friends. She moved on but always tells me that she loves knowing that i love her and wants some day for us to work. I have done so many things for her so far like sending her roses for her dance recital and buying her a tiffany necklace for her birthday which is tomorrow. My boyfriend cheated on me and i was really depressed. My two best friends(heather & robbi) who were in colorado when all this happen. How would you feel??

my boyfriend noticed that my purse was in bad shape, so he went upstairs into a storage closet and found a purse that he bought his ex-wife. Then he brought it to me and told me about how it was a really nice purse that he bought his ex. I blew a fuse and threw the purse across the room. I know that what I did was an extreme reaction, but for god's sake, he knows how much I hate her. And I think thats just a dumb thing to have your ex's purse int he house and then try to re gift it to your girlfriend of 1.5 years. I am so pissed and I think he is ignorant for asking a question like that! I am so pissed you have no idea!! I feel like breaking something now!!

Can you take constructive criticism? There are a lot of people that can dish it but simply can't take it. I can take it even if it isn't constructive criticism because I feel whatever's being thrown at me, if i'm willing not to get caught up in the nonesense in the process, it will build me up into a stronger person then i already am. It challenges me to be on my toes and about my witts. To realize that with positive comes negative. That's just the way of the world.

I mean I understand if he wants a "guys night". That's totally fine with me because I don't want him to lose touch with his friends while in this relationship. I have my "girls night." The thing is that we know when it's going to happen. Like tonight, I asked him if he wanted to do something and he said he was tired and going to bed. Now, he's at the bar.
