I asked out a guy I've liked for a long time by slipping a note with some of his stuff I went to his house to return. Our convo on aim:

him: i wish you'd given me my calc like...two days earlier
him: cuz remember that girl i was talkin to you about the other night?
him: she and I are kinda in a weird relationship..
him: such as...she's about to kill herself
me: do you like her
him: i wanna help her, and i kinda do ish
him: and she told me that she liked me
him: and like...i told her how i felt
him: about how i wanna make her happy cuz she's seriously depressed
me: I've liked you for a long time
me: and I figured
me: I should just tell you and...I could move on
him: lol..it's funny
him: i was always kinda attracted to you too
him: but it was always like...blah forget it, don't even try
him: arghh i wish you'd given it to me two days earlier

I thought he liked me and if he didn't then I could move on. but now I'm...stuck at an inbetween bc he said he likes me back.

my mom is unhappy. she is thankful for her job but it takes a lot of out her and some people there get on her nerves. she's always uptight and stressed out. now that school is out i spend a lot of time with her. and although school's only been out a week, i am going crazy. i try to make her happy, i take her out etc, but she is happy for 15 minutes and then starts talking about her problems. i understand that talking helps her, but she is making me depressed. i can't help her. and she often takes her anger out on me, i can't stand being around her but i have no choice. what do i do?

Why is it so hard for some men not to have their way 100% of the time? When I say equality, I don't mean let women be loose and wild, but just have them be treated like human beings, and let them make a decision or have a say in something once in a while. Why is it such a bother that for once in a while, you can't get your own way? Is it that painful? Haven't you learned to share? It just seems so childish to me.
Please don't get angry and defensive, just be honest. I want to hear this from the male perspective.

Ok, I married a man w/ 14 girl. Her mother decided to have an affair w/ a convict got pregnant by him. My husband found out divorced her.even though she had a baby by another man she still wants to be w/ my husband. A year later he meets me ask me to marry him. She try to beak us up by telling her daughter to act up be mean etc. The daughter all ready has mean streak in her anyway. She listens to heavy metal all day speaks very rude to her father. Tells him to mine is own business,get out her room,throws the phone to him etc. Sometimes I feel like he;s just to soft. I have a daughter who is 21 years old. She is in college and a great student, great person etc. She has a boyfriend who lives about 5 miles from our house. Since she has been out from college this summer, she has stayed over at his house countless times all night. I understand she is a legal adult, and can do what she wants to. I just have a problem with this. I would be stupid to even think that they have not had sex. I know they have had sex, she and I are close enough that she told me about it. (too much information for old mom, but I have always tried to be there for her no matter what). My point is.. this has been going on even before she turned the magic age of 21 and I just see this as being disrespectful to me. I have told her that I do not agree with this. His parents on the other hand are always inviting her to stay over and of course sleep with their son in his bed. Am I just terribly old fashioned or is this suppose to be kosher in this day and time?

my boyfriend was gonna ask out my friend before he even met me. he told her that he liked me more though. she got jealous after finding this out, ever since she found out that we were dating she has been trying to break us up. she told me that he didnt respect me, and that after he graduates he is just gonna break my heart,and that he doesnt love me, she even told me that he kissed her. but he isnt like that. he goes to church and tells me that he loves me all the time and that he would never cheat on me with anybody, we have been together for 4 months and he has not lied to me once. i dont know what to do all my other friends say that i should quit being her friend. what should i do?

I've been in a relationship for 4 yrs now with my current boyfriend, he's good to me and it's like he is my BESTFRIEND in the world! We do everything together..... But i wanna be with a girl. I think? ok, my husband is always accusing me of cheating on him, should i be concerned that he may be cheating on me, i work 12 hour day in a nursing home, i come home and cook and clean, when i go out i only go to the grocery store, gas station and pay bills a minimun of about 2 hours out. i have never cheated on him, but i have had suspesion that he has cheated on me but he denies it when i ask, we have been married for 9 yrs. please help me to get him to understand that i dont, and he should trust me.
