Let me tell you something - most guys are like that. Accept it for what he is. Everything will be fine. Problem starts only when you send him on guilt trip or pout or get accusatory. Just because you insist, he may tell you a lie and then you are not happy camper.

Sorry, not all guys are in the habit of complimenting all the time. I'm very guilty of that. I let the girls that I date about that. I let them know its one of my biggest faults and not to take it personally if it happens. Ask him flat out if he is like that.
