Why do men cheat on women?

I've just seen a couple of answers on another similar question. What do you think? Anyone have any personal experiences?

Fair do's perhaps i should have said why do people cheat on their partners. Sorry men i know it's not only you!

I think that the reason that people cheat on each other is that they forget why they craved each other in the first place. Lust is lost in bills, kids, stress, traffic. Couples forget to say thanks, to hold hands, to appreciate that both have commited to the same end. Turn off the tv and just chat about anything stupid you feel like, just no talking about bills, kids, stress, traffic..............................

i answer as i have done it, why because i was not loved in the way i needed, and no it was not an excuse, i was ignored sexually and mentally for five years before i had the courage, actually no i did not have the courage it was the "other woman" that approached me. yes of course i felt guilt but if i am honest i felt so unhappy i had nothing to loose, the strange thing is the other woman ran away as soon as i left my partner !! and i have been single ever since, and i still feel guilty ! help i need a shrink !! lol life is a great learning tool the original question is a little unfair we all look, its only those that have real love that do not wander i think,

because some women/men cant get there own men/women so they have to have an affair with another persons husband/wife. etc..theres a saying and it goes like this a woman is a womans worst enemy..and a man is a mans worst enemy..i mean how many of you out there would actualy trust your best friend alone in the house with your partner/wife/husband/ i bet there wont be a lot.

Men are programmed to do stuff like that. Men think about sex like every 3 seconds. Women cheat because they are probably not getting enough attention from their partners.

Most men don't like being tied down to one woman, to some thats how they feel being in a relationship. My ex husband confessed to 11 women, the day I walked out the door to leave him. To some, its an excitement thing. Its exciting thinking about all the what ifs. What if I get caught? How far will this other woman go for me.. things like that.

All males (of all species) are biologically programmed to seek out and mate with as many females as possible in order to ensure that their genes passed on.
Men cheat on women because every cell in there body is telling them they need to reproduce with as many females as possible.

Of course, simple biology isn't an excuse, and cheating is still a terrible thing to do. Unfortunately, not all guys are able to ignore certain insticts.

i think men cheat on women because either they not helping the man or the relationship was good then all of a sudden the women changed. sometimes it be the women fault and they always find a way to blame it on the man and they get sick of that.
