The way I see it, there is all this brouhaha surrounding the need to transform a barren, lifeless, toxic planet in response to the suggested annihilation of the bountiful, lustrous Mother Earth. I would think, however, that it is quite irrational to believe it would be easier to transform Mars, or any other planet, rather than save our own. Think of the delicate balances at play here, our seas, our rainforests, our tectonic plates, haha. I say if people want to invest, they should invest in their families, children and neighbors of the importance of maintaining our gift. If we can think big enough, and have enough hope to believe we can live in an environment like mars, why can't we think big about our own atmosphere? Broken yes, but it's like saying we are willing to move out of the beachfront property because of some hurricane damage, over to the trash heap next to a toxic waste dump and try and make that work. Does anyone agree this doesn't make sense?

I have a theory... I believe (and hope) that all the animalss who have gotten the label "extinct" are not extinct at all. I think that they have gone into seclusion in the remotest parts of the earth where no man has discovered. My theory is based on backward discovery. Meaning; we find new life forms all the time- deep in the sea, in the jungle- that we didn't know existed. Is it therefore possible that animals have gone into hiding and we just don't know where?
I believe in a Creator and I don't think He would let humans distroy His creations. The atmosphere can recover, the water can recover, the air can once again be fresh and clean, all these things man has done to the earth can be reversed, nature was built to regenerate. If these things can be reversed then why isn't it reasonable to consider the idea that He has made a "hiding place" of sorts for His creations so they are not wiped out completely?

Seriously, its been proven that man is not causing "global warming" and that "global warming" is actually just one of earth's many heating and cooling cycles.

I'm doing a research project in school on global warming (and how it's effecting wildlife), and I would just like to know what you people think about it.

Do you believe it is real, or just another stage that the earth is going through? Please support your opinions.

Do you think that people these days are knowledgeable about what is going on with it, or do you think that people know but just don't care?

The population of chinstrap penguins has decreased about 60% over the years because the krill that they feed off of live under a layer of ice, and since the earth is warming and the ice is melting, the krill population is declining.

Polar bears may be added to the endangered species list because their habitat is melting away.

Reindeer are moving south because they cannot get to the grass up north anymore because of freezing rain.

Also, if you have any ideas on how to help global warming, please feel free to add a possible solution or two to your answer. Thank you!

almost every major ecological phenomenon- global warming, holes in the ozone- can be seen from two perspectives: Humans are to blame, or is it the natural order and would have happened anyway?
