I have already done this, but i need to correct my paper so i need some help please....

♥ What are three main reasons why we don't get all of our power from renewable resources? Give a pro and con about two types of renewable resources. What would happen if our fossil fuels were to be depleted in the next two years?

1. Renewable fuel sources don't produce enough power to warrant a large scale conversion, and they are far more costly than fossil fuel plants.

2. Wind generators: highly efficient form of renewable power. Very expensive, and also contributes to noise pollution.

Solar cells: provide power with the Sun's energy. Only about 15% efficient (a coal plant is 30-40% efficient), and *highly* expensive to manufacture on a large scale.

3. If our fossil fuels were to be depleted in the next two years, America would probably be screwed. Ideally, psycho environmentalists would stop complaining about nuclear energy and we'd be fine until other forms of energy come around.

You may need to edit that last one.

Your going to flunk if you use terras's answers.

1. renewable energy produces just as much energy dollar for dollar that fossil fuel energy does. Currently there is just way more fossil fuel energy production on line. Renewable is rapidly growing to 25% of our total energy output. Also renewable energy is not more costly because over time it ends up being cheaper, while fossil fuel power plants get more expensive over time especially with regards to social cost , i.e. POLLUTION, HEALTH PROBLEMS, CLIMATE CHANGE!; and taxes, i.e. corporate welfare.

2. Noise pollution WTF?

3. Solar is much more efficient in a lot of areas more so that fossil fuel ever could be, i.e. solar oven, passive solar heating, geothermal energy, etc.; The efficiency rating that terras used are from the 1970's when solar energy of modern age first took off. So if solar is so inefficient than why are they putting on-line the largest of 3 solar collection power plants in New Mexico with 1million MW capacity.

Sorry to blow your theory about fossil fuels . They is a recycle system in nature that has worked for millions of years. The plants do double duty first they take in CO2 and give us oxygen but the plants hold on to the Corbin in there leaves .The leaves fall off ,wash down the river to the delta where they deteriorate into Gas ,Oil and the oil will turn into coal after a long time.
