You're hardly alone. These people do:

"The science of global warming is clear. We know enough to act now. We must act now."

James Rogers, CEO of Charlotte-based Duke Energy.

"The overwhelming majority of atmospheric scientists around the world and our own National Academy of Sciences are in essential agreement on the facts of global warming and the significant contribution of human activity to that trend."

Russell E. Train, former environmental official under Presidents Nixon and Ford

"Global warming is already starting, and there's going to be more of it. I think there is still time to deal with global warming, but we need to act soon. Humans now control global climate, for better or worse."

James Hansen, Ph.D. climate scientist, NASA

"Global warming "is the most important challenge we face in this century. The hour is no longer for skepticism. It is time to act, and act urgently."

Prince Albert II of Monaco

"Global warming is the most challenging problem our society has ever had to face up to. Ice is the canary in the coal mine of global warming."

Britain's chief scientist David King

"By mid-century, millions more poor children around the world are likely to face displacement, malnourishment, disease and even starvation unless all countries take action now to slow global warming."

Michael Oppenheimer, professor of geosciences and international affairs at Princeton University

“With overwhelming scientific evidence that global warming is adversely impacting the health of our planet, the time has come for the Congress to take action.”

Senator Olympia Snowe, Republican, Maine

"I agree with you (Gore) that the debate over climate change is over."

Rep. Dennis Hastert, Republican, Illinois

"Global warming is real, now, and it must be addressed."

Lee Scott, CEO, Wal-Mart

"I'm trying to learn [about greenhouse gases and global warming]. The more I learn, the bigger believer I become."

Senator Lindsay Graham, Republican, South Carolina

“DuPont believes that action is warranted, not further debate."

Charles O. Holliday, Jr., CEO, DuPont

"We simply must do everything we can in our power to slow down global warming before it is too late. The science is clear. The global warming debate is over."

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Republican, Governor, California

"Our nation has both an obligation and self-interest in facing head-on the serious environmental, economic and national security threat posed by global warming."

John McCain, Republican, Senator, Arizona

"These technologies will help us become better stewards of the environment - and they will help us to confront the serious challenge of global climate change."

President George Bush

There's a lot less controversy about this is the real world than there is on Yahoo answers:

And vastly less controversy in the scientific community than you might guess from the few skeptics talked about here:

Nothing it is a natural process. Since the 1940's to the 1970's the world was cooling and everyone was concerned about the earth frezzing over. From the 1970's till now it has slowly been heating up agian to the temp. that the world was at around the 1940's.
And don't believe that humans are causing global warming. Did you know that humans only produce around 1/5 of the total CO2 in the world. The other sources are things such as volcanoes(which produce just about the same amount of CO@ as humans.)
What will the liberals say next after we switch to solar cars and global warming is still going on. I know what they will say " We must plug up the volcanoes to reduce CO2 emmissions."

I feel your pain. I live in Salt Lake City Utah-the land of the 'greatest snow on earth'.......Well, in the past perhaps. When I was about 8 years old I remember snow so deep that we couldn't see into the street from the sidewalks. (and not just because I'm taller now) Now, year after year the snow starts later and melts even sooner, in fact this last winter I think I could count on 1 hand how many times I had to get out my snow-shovel for my own driveway.
Maybe this could be just a local problem, but it really sounds like its not.
I long for the days of sweeping cold and falling snow once again...Here's hoping for another ice age!!!

If you desire to obtain supply cash for local weather study, do you consider that you'll be able to get a cheque in the event you say," I want the supply, as I consider that I can turn out that the figures that the present paradigm is situated upon are unsuitable" ? The excellent environmentalist, David Bellamy, has been silenced, and refused airtime. There remains to be no tested causative hyperlink among the quantity of Co2 within the surroundings, and an expand in international temperatures. The WWWF pics of the polar bears swimming had been taken within the Arctic summer season; while the ice cap partly melts, as they could not rise up to snapshot within the iciness. The ice was once too thick! The East-Anglian uni study figures. "Oh! The figures do not fit our expectancies. Oh good. Keep quiet. Because we all know that we're proper." When the notion, and the religion is extra primary than squarely going through the respectable doubts of plenty of non supply-supported scientists, technology has been superceded by way of devout zealots. As Oliver Cromwell colourfully mentioned." I pray thee, within the bowels of Christ, keep in mind that thou mayest be unsuitable."

We need to stop building so many road ways : each road way stops rain from socking into the soil, causes more run off, and cause the soil around it to heat up. We need to replace all the trees we are cutting down as well, trees filter the air, produce oxygen, hold the water table up, keep the soil cooler by protecting it from the sun rays, and reduce water run off as well. OUR actions of the last hundred years is as we have declared war on the natural order of things on our planet in the name of progress, The great dust bowl of the 1930 should have been the first clue, we fixed that and still learned nothing from it. we keep making the same mistakes over and over! We are domed!

I am care but what to do.

In reality global warming is result of Russian and American nuclear bombs from 60-ies till today.I mean the earth
inclination is changed and continue to change .
Also Little by little the earth orbit is changing like result also of last bombing in Yugoslavia ,Afghanistan and Iraq.
Wait and soon you will see something what never happened from billions years.
And now I ask you what we can do.
Everything is politic and money.
Be happy the earth will be existing after us be sure.

There are many people who care about global warming. I do not see how they will be able to make an impact as global warming is actually caused by the sun.

No, I want to stop it as well!!! Droughts in some areas, Floods in others, Gigantic Storms.... How can people deny it is happening??? The bigger question is, how can our president deny it is happening? A way to start stopping it is to elect a president that will make it a top priority!!! There is an election coming in 2008, inform everyone you know to vote for a president that will stop this maddness and take advantage of this 10 year window we have to stop it!
