Global warming is just that, warming of the globe. On a more regional scale you will get fluctuations in the temperature; some areas will be cooler other areas warmer (on balance you will get more warmer areas).

Due to the warming there will be more moisture in the atmosphere. This means that another result is that there will be more rain. Again this is global, some areas will get more other areas less.

In cold areas this moisture will fall a snow. The polar areas are expected to warm the most (but remember that they are already very cold so the average temperature will still be below zero) but also get the largest precipitation increase causing more snow.

This is a very brief outline describing just two variables. The real situation is extremely complex with multiple variables that interact with each other. This makes predictions extremely difficult.

Global warming causes wide swings of temperatures and moisture. Ice can form during one of those swings

when you cause global warming, it messes up a current that carries warm waters of the gulf of mexico to the northern parts of europe like norway and finland. that way it's alot colder up there without the warm currents pulling in. that's one example to think of it.
