Microorganisms capable of digesting wood live in the guts of termites. One of their waste products is methane. As deforestation has continued around the world, the supply of rotting wood has increased. This abundant food source has expanded the termite population. A significant part of the increase in atmospheric methane is thought to be due to this source.

Can someone help me re-order the following statesments?

Increased atmospheric methane
Increased termite population
Increased human population
Deforestation
Need for agricultural land area
Wood-digesting microorganisms
Broken wood, dead roots
Methane as a digestive waste

Thanks

The idea is that the Earth is warmer now that it has ever been, and that it is ALL mankind's fault.

Anybody disputing this is insulted and threatened with loss of their jobs (if they are teachers or scientists, and especially politicians) or worse.

We don't really know for a fact that the Earth has not been warmed or cooled to a much greater degree over millions of years as compared to today, and what kind of terrestial or solar forces could contribute to warming/cooling cycles, and by how much.

Using two centuries or so of relatively detailed weather records is not enough on this timescale.

Or maybe the last Ice Age ended because of people and their huge cities and SUV's?

Hi! For Science, my group had to monitor a fish in a bottle with freshwater (that has no fluoride, chlorine and other hazardous chemicals for the fish) for 15 days. I want to know what affected the ammonia levels in the freshwater.

I really appreciate your help!

I would like to learn more about global warming, the subject is a bit hazy in my mind at the moment. Is it just a natural process that the earth goes through, is this natural process being accelerated by man's interference, or is it just mans' fault? I was just wondering whether the governement in the UK really believes that it is man whos' generating the problems or if they are using that as an opportunity to charge more taxes... If the government was really concerned about man made pollution surely the law would be more strict in the recycling or banning things like unnecessary packaging, harmful products to the athmosphere etc... What do you think?
