ozone is a natural cushion between the atmosphere and the earth, it protects us from very strong sunlight.
as our ozone becomes depleted from pollution, which break down that protective layer, we then begin getting holes in our ozone. because of the holes, stronger and stronger ammounts of sunlight begin coming through...
we've already seen evidence of this back in the 1980's when the ozone started breaking up in australia and cases of skin cancer began to skyrocket.
as stronger ammounts of sunlight reach the earths surface, our temperatures started to rise gradually...and globally.
even a small rise in global temperatures is enough to cause major damage...as it has a chain reaction with our environment....for example
with rising temperatures, our polar ice caps have begun to melt..affecting the animals and plants in those regions, also rising water will obviously change ourcoastline, and affect salinity levels in our oceans..which in turn will affect the animals which live there.
hope this all helps.
our planet is in trouble..it is up to you ..and your generation to become so very aware of this problem.

Ozone depletion and global warming are loosely coupled as both have some roots in human activities. Ozone depletion is occuring in the ionosphere - very high up, and is a result of the release of several chemicals of human origin, such as some forms of Freon. Global warming, also has some human roots, but from different sources - we release CO2 from power generators and combustion engines, we cut down forests removing some of the means of removing CO2, and changing the albedo of the earth so we absorb more solar energy on a planetary scale - note that the Earth 'nutates' around it's axis - like a gyroscope wobbling - which has an effect on global warming as well as the poles tilt more or less to the sun. (the primary nutation cycle is about 25000 years long, but there are also other components - the Earth's orbit is not completely circular, and that has an effect -The Earth is slightly further away during the northern hemisphere's summer than the southern hemisphere's summer, but that shifts over long periods of time...

Ozone depletion means the ozone is being depleted, or taken away. (The ozone layer protects us from UV rays and things like that.)

Global warming is the result of many factors including, but not limited to, ozone depletion.

Try reading wikipedia on both and you should be prepared for your exam. Good luck!

worldwide WARMING- it truly is the upward thrust indoors the temperature of the earth by means of utilising enhance indoors the quantity of carbon dioxide and methane gas ACID RAIN- it truly is the concepts-set wherein sulphur dioxide gas and nitrogen dioxide gas dissolve in rain water to type acid and then corrodes the monuments, properties, etc OZONE DEPLETION- a hollow is formed indoors the ozone layer by means of utilising greater advantageous use of cfc'spresent indoors the ac's and refrigerator's. that's ozone layer depletion.
