This is because the pollution can be decreased only when we reduce our pollution creating activities suddenly. Suddenly because only then the increase in temperature will be changed from its seemingly permanent inreased state. why i am considering temperature, because increase in tempreature is causing a lot more fires in forests, and even human villages. Temprature will attain a permanent ground on its incresed state soon. But we can't change ou lifestyle suddenly, as we all know, as not all are concerned about this issue.

The pollution of what?? Cars pollute 60 percent less than what they did in the 1960's. Since coal is no longer the predominate choice for heating in single homes, particulate levels are far less then they were in the 1940's.Every aspect of life today is FAR less polluting than is has been in the past.Companies are levied heavy fines for non-compliance to pollution laws.Do some online research and you'll see how much cleaner we are now than even 50 years ago.

Because it is easier said than done. It take a lot of energy to run our current lives. But Al Gore and other environmental extremist want us to switch to solar, wind, etc power immediately. What they don't talk about is how we are going to fund these other energy sources, install the infrastructure to run, change everyone's cars, etc. They forget our current technology is still better than our old technology which has improved things.

We are. The engines we use burn much cleaner now. Scrubbers are required in thermal stacks at plants. But when we voted in Clinton, he approved NAFTA and corporations went south of the border where there is not an EPA. That did worse for the environment than anything else we did in recent history.

Observe that everybody wants everybody else to use less energy. Everybody wants somebody else to take the bus rather than drive their car. Conservation is, by definition, something for other people to do. And since the other people feel the same way everybody is waiting to somebody else to start.

Consider this, why did you ask this question an Yahoo? Your computer uses energy, turn it off. Do you watch TV? You're killing the planet. Do you take hot showers? Do you eat farmed food? Why don't you stop doing these things rather than wait for somebody else to stop doing them? If you're not willing to stop using energy I suggest that you don't really care.
