I'm really getting confused with all the terms the radio throws at you....is there definitions of each? Or does the meteorologist just make them up and pull one out of a hat?

If Co2 traps the sun's rays, causing the planet to warm up, wouldn't it also block the sun's rays, possibly causing the planet to cool?

I'm taking an introductory level college biology course and we just got to biotechnology. My college professor says that Monsanto is a company like any other- it exists to make profits for the shareholders. The people who run Monsanto are held legally responsible for the actions they take and are monitored and have to clear many proof of safety hurdles to get a product commercialized. So, my questions are: Don't you think the benefits of agricultural biotechnology far outweigh any potential negative effects? If so, can you tell me both the pros and the cons of GMO food? Do you have any scientific supporting evidence to support these statements? My professor says that protestors cannot list both the pros and cons, and also cannot cite a scholarly reference that supports what the protestors list as arguments against biotech food. Another student as about the terminator gene- he said that Monsanto has a right to protect its investments; does Dell give someone a new computer yearly?

Does anyone out there besides me understand that Global Warming is about the RATE of warming and not the fact that warming is occurring? YES warming of our planet is natural and will occur over THOUSANDS of years. However, due to our burning of fossil fuels, this warming is occuring in less than 50 YEARS !! ALso, simply because it is cold in your neighborhood during one morning/week/month does not mean Global Warming is not occuring. There is an entire planet that is being affected and the average rate of change of this planet indicates a strong pattern of warming.

I heard tonight on CBS Evening News that fishermen in Seattle want the Sea Lions killed because they are eating all their salmon.....how sad is it when we want to kill innocent sea lions? They are beautiful creatures who were probably confused as to where they were and ended up at the dam in Seattle, Washington. Now they are firing bullets at them in the water to scare them away from the salmon. I mean come on people, go to another place to fish...who cares that there are a lot of salmon there? Let the Sea Lions eat! My question to you is, do you think it is right that we should kill Sea Lions....who are an endangered species (as well as salmon mind you who the fishermen are fishing for)??

a simutlation, with computers that have only been around for so long and recoreds of detialed info going back maybe 30 years at the most so how can we make a judgment with meger amounts of data and possiably corrupt data from before the use of detialed weather monitoring equipment?




by the way i'm i'm 100% behind the global warming theory or cuase or whatever cuase i thnk we should make the changes everyone is talking about anyways regardless of if it is a problem or not
which i think it is , but any good logical person wil tell you to find the truth you must aruge both sides even if it is crazy
