I have a 90 gallon aquarium 70 lbs live rock, 100 lbs of sand, wet dry filter system and protein skimmer. Can someone tell me why I get ammonia readings in every test 0.25 (I use red sea) but never any nitrite readings. I do have nitrates. There is 3 fish in the tank each one is 3 inches. Ph is 8.2. I do regular water changes. The tank has been set up for 2 months. I have algae growing and my fish are doing well just confused about the ammonia.

There is a mindset that maintains dumping trash in landfills is less costly than processing trash into raw material. There is no data indicating the cost of processing in more than the cost of dumping. What if environmental concerns are factored into this? Landfills polute for hundreds of years while processing reduces polution for several reasons. So, from an environmental perspective the processing of trash is much the better method. It is clear landfills are of no value to anyone and should be replaced by a process that transforms trash into useful raw material. Why not develop a process and stop the mindless landfill? Its really a rather simple process afterall.

Smog was a killer, vehicles did not have catalytic convertors and had extremely dirty exhaust fumes. Factories had very poor regulation of discharges compared with today. Yet we are told that all the damage to our earth is caused by modern vehicle and factory discharges.
Why is this the case?

I'm sick of the lies. This isn't the first time the government has lied about something big.

Dr. William Marcus, an EPA senior science adviser and toxicologist stated in "Food and Water Journal," 1998, " Fluoride is a carcinogen by any stand we use. I believe EPA should act immediately to protect the public, not just on the cancer data, but on the evidence of bone fractures, arthritis, mutagenicity and other effects."

I know very well the inclination of people in high power to make a profit at people's expense and to use manipulative information to keep those in the media and scientific community in compliance. Fluoride was a menacing air pollutant until large companies found out they could get rid of it in water and say it was the holy grail for teeth decay prevention.

We are now left whith just 10% of India covered with forest whereas it should be more than 33%. We should be planting more plants. Because of pollution the Global Warming rate is going higher. We should take more measures. And the many animals which are now endangered. This should be stopped, I mean killing of animals. What do you think?
