how is pyrite prepared for use?

what must happen to the pyrite for it to be used for products?

I don't know of any uses for pyrite other than a collectors specimen. Pyrite is usually a gangue mineral that has to be treated with care and disposed according to regulations as to not cause acid mine drainage (AMD).
