why are specific wilderness areas important?

They support unique ecosystems.... insects, plants, reptiles, aquatic life, mammals, bacteria, amoebas, fungus etc.
They are important for so many reasons... conserving or preserving specific species is one that comes to mind and maybe for scientists (all kinds... botanists, biologists, climatologists, geologists...etc) to study these areas for their specific field of study.
I'm sure there are more reasons but I'm drawing a blank.

They are not . It is just the same with u ,U either adapt or die. The law of the land and it will get tougher before it gets better.
