NASA: 15,000 years ago there was a rapid rise in temperature in just 10 to 20 years.

15,000 years ago is less than a second when compared to the age of the earth and there were no cars back then.

I am writing a science fiction short story for my class, and since the setting is in a world with somewhat eternal winter, I need to connect today with the next Ice Age.

We may all have to make changes or even sacrifices in our lifestyle to ensure that we and our children can enjoy long, healthy lives. What can we do to help lessen the extent of the problem, and how can we ensure that the government finally steps up to the plate?

Guys and girls. I am one of those kids who really care about our enviornment. Tell me what you do to help the enviornment. If you don't do anything yet, tell me what you are going to start doing, because this is everyone's fault! It won't go away overnight! We have to do something about this! This is the third thing I have posted about global warming. I have to show you how much I care!

Listen, I've been thinking about global warming. It's really scary when you think about it. We could have a flood because of the polar ice caps. Then some of New York will be underwater. That would be scary, don't you think? I want to help, so here are some ideas:
1. Turn off all lights when you are not using them. When daylight is coming through windows, don't turn on any lights.
2. Recycle everything you can.
3. At some grocery stores, they sell reusable cloth bags. They are only 99 cents usually, so buy some. They can help save trees.
4. Plant a tree. Since trees give out oxygen, they can help the enviornment.

I know these sound like little things, but they really do help. As a younger person, I will be living in this world when I get older, and I want to help. I mean, what happens when New York gets flooded, do you think that would be scary? Because I would. I saw the movie, An Inconveint Truth, by Al Gore, it is a grea

The movie "An Inconvenient Truth" shows the 650,000 year history of atmospheric CO2 levels periodically rising and falling, and correlating pretty closely with surface temperatures. What I'd like to know is what are the mechanisms that caused CO2 levels to rise in the past and, more importantly, what ultimately caused them to fall? Unfortunately the movie, as well as global warming proponents and naysayers never offer explanations of this. If we knew what were the "natural" historical mechanisms that reduce CO2 levels, we might have an easy way to do this now.

My husband leaves the window open next to a window A/C. He leaves the windows open upstairs half way when the central heat is running. He leaves his windows open while driving down the road with the A/C running. This drives me nuts!!! I am green and he is brown. I mean he does not conserve energy or resources. I am very strict. Please settle this for us. Who is right???

Only the seriously educated need respond.
