First, correlation of data points does not prove cause. It could as easily be coincidence. The data presented is also not accurate. There has been a serious argument over that because the global warming crowd deleted significant temperature changes from those charts.
Second, there were many other factors during those periods that are not accountable. For instance, shifts in the poles causes heat to increase in the earth's interior warming the land and causing ice to melt. Volcanic activity, solar fluctuations and methane gas are all left out yet are all very significant in climate change.
650,000 years is really not all that much time when you are trying to establish planetary patterns of fluctuation. It just isn't statistically significant for lack of a large enough numerical universe to work with. With the associated lack of other data related to climate it means nothing at all.
Now, allegedly the climate is currently warming. How do we know that? The only truly accurate temperature readings we have are from the last 50 years, hardly enough to say anything intelligent. Even those readings are sporadic at best and do not include even 50% of the globe.
An example of the poor quality of the arguments presented is the constant comments about plants absorbing CO2. More than anything, plankton in the oceans are absorbing CO2, not terrestrial plants. They are only a small contribution and don't matter all that much but the global warming crowd keeps beating that drum. Its a false lead, going nowhere.
In other words, you can say with a large amount of confidence that the climate is changing, mostly because it has been for 4 billion years. Everything else is pure conjecture at this point. I will gladly accept scientific facts but not this pop science they are touting now.

Natural mechanisms that have historically reduced co2 levels?
Well, as the amount of co2 increases in our atmosphere, certain plants, molds and fungi start to multiply at unprecedented rates. These biologicals do so because they thrive in an oxygen-deleted environment. Nature's balancing act is working fine, as most of them produce more oxygen as a byproduct that current flora.
An example would be VINES, which are now seen proliferating and taking a much larger ecological niche for themselves, to the point that they actually kill off the trees they are growing on. Pound for pound, vines generate 8 times more oxygen than trees and shrubs do.
The only problem is that it will take hundreds, or perhaps thousands of years to rebalance the atmosphere naturally, and if the oxygen level drops below 8.5% in the meantime, mammals--including us--are just fossils.
There is no doubt now that global warming is real, and man-made.
Millions of tons of crap DAILY into the atmosphere is nothing to sneeze at. Pun intended.
We are shrewing ourselves over for a buck.
Shooting ourselves in the herd.
Stepping on our own ducks.
Cutting off our nose to spite our finch.
Kicking ourselves in the asparagus beetle.
For the almighty dollar we're ruining it for everybody and everything, and people who deny it are three fries short of a Happy Meal.
Have a nice day.

there are many truths in this world but that desserts are a result of human intervention and that we release destructive gasses to the Environment is undeniable
the amounts of biomass is directly related to co2 levels
as well as water temperatures
this planet has had various climatic conditions that related to the overall biomass
for example the ice age saw few trees and things like the meteor that made the gulf of mexico would account for wholesale destruction of biomass and less carbon absorbtion as well as less carbon production
other times the planet was more tropical
they found fossils of tropical plants in Antarctica
water absorbs carbon when colder and releases it when hotter
rotting vegetation produces carbon
and trees absorb it
read the little book Plan B it is very informative on present conditions and may give you the answers you are looking for ,it is very easy to find in the browsers

If I could work that out, I could pick up the $25 million Richard Branson has offered for anyone coming up with a way to effectively remove CO2 from the atmosphere.
Vegetation removes CO2, but with people cutting down trees around the globe to make room for raising cattle, for firewood, for lumber, for less effective CO2 removers like crops, it's kind of hard to make much headway in that direction.

I agree with kevin if the money wasn't there ,there would be no problem > With all the scientist if there would be no grants to study there is no problem. I cant understand why CO2 was a problem in the first place. CO2 is absorbed by plants and it has worked very good. Then there is Methane is a very light gas and will go very high in our atmosphere ,now how did they measure it,or is it just a lie,or bad math.Well the methane is gone and there is not a big lake of it in our atmosphere. Where did it go.

Everyone that has answered lately is sadly wrong.
Global warming is very real, and caused by using too much energy and the depleting of the ozone layer because this energy is eating away at the ozone. Then the sun's rays shine through more intensely and it will melt the polar ice caps within the next 35 years. I'm serious, this is a huge problem.
BTW, guys, has anyone watched the news lately?
"Global Warming is REAL"
"Global Warming-Not a Myth"
Guys, get real.

It's a hoax .... first they used to complain about those tiny little bottles of white-out depleating the ozone layer ... Then AlGore made up this whole global warming issue to draw attention after no one believed that he invented the Internet.
It's not NEAR the threat that they want us to believe it is. This Earth will perform just as God planned it to.

We have much more important things to worry about. Let's try to prevent the next nuclear war with Iran by using diplomacy instead of focusing on false global warming myths.
