I am doing a science project on compost and I thought it would be cool to do something on how you could use compost to heat a room. I know that the bacteria generates heat as it decomposes the matter and I think that I could create a project on using compost to heat small room. I would really like to hear any ideas or suggestions to build on this idea. Thanks so much!!

based on some evidence i have seen Global Warming has near nothing to do with humanity, rather the earth goes through documented cycles of temperture change.

It seems like we cover the same thing over and over and the end result is always about the almighty $... I for one am sick and tired of the $ being the excuse for not doing something. It's not about the money people and it's not about your fricken Escalade in the drive either... The Question I have is why does everyone fall back on the cost of environmentaly benificial actions (in $'s ) then run out and buy a happy meal and a Tahoe? If money is that big of an issue the we are screwed. Personaly I think it's a small price to pay to be healthy and have a beautiful world (not a landfill) to live on.

If it doesn't hurt to try and do something positive, why not do it? Why do some people look at the problem as being too huge for individuals to tackle? If you take a whole bunch of individuals and get them to pull in the same direction, they move huge problems out of the way! Numbers make power. Its time for the Ecological Revolution and we can all take part as passively or as agressively as we want. We just can't stand around any longer and pretend to be helpless in front of it all. We are the clients of industry and should be telling the men with the money what we want, not the other way around.

Write on the back of a used paper, separate your garbage, walk to the mall if its only a few blocks away. Take the bus to get back if you bought shopping. Let the numbers do the work for you.

Global Warming, as we think we know it, doesn't exist. And I am not the only one trying to make people open up their eyes and see the truth. But few listen, despite the fact that I was one of the first Canadian Ph.Ds. in Climatology and I have an extensive background in climatology, especially the reconstruction of past climates and the impact of climate change on human history and the human condition. Few listen, even though I have a Ph.D, (Doctor of Science) from the University of London, England and was a climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg. For some reason (actually for many), the World is not listening. Here is why.
