I would love to use eco-friendly lights, but they tend to make me nauseated after a few hours. Being near them is awful.
I use reveal light bulbs in my house because I'm extremely photosensitive. Even in direct sunlight I feel faint.
Does anyone know if more efficient bulbs out there that give off a softer, less nauseating light? Bluer or more GE reveal lights would be preferred over "sunlight" like bulbs.

how much oil is lost in the recycling, is it energy intensive, and why could we not just rely on our used oil more instead of constantly producing more oil and petroleum?

I know they give off very high UV rays and have damaged things in my office. I'm hesitant to use them in my house because of what I have seen. You would not notice it for years, but it seems it will occur. Has anyone who has used them for years noticed damage?

I would use them in every fixture I have if they were more attractive and softer on the eyes. You also cannot dim them, or use them in a motion detector spotlight.

I'm sorry but I've used eco-friendly light bulbs and the light they put out is horrible. It's like a flourescent bulb. I like the light bulbs I have in my house now. I think it should remain my choice which light bulb I want to use. What about you?

I suspect that all this talk about how man is causing global warming is merely political hype. Of the two greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide and water vapor, how come no one EVER mentions water? It is important to have a certain concentration of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere to support plant life. Has this percentage changed significantly over the past 100 years? I doubt it.

But how much more energy does it take to produce them and how much more toxic waste is produced during manufacturing and disposal of the new florescent bulbs?
I personally would like to see the proof that they are more environmentally friendly, Remember the MTBE fuel additive that was supposed to helping the environment but poisoned the water supply?

people here in eastern KY and WV come to your hometown to get jobs??
Most people here work with coal related jobs, the gas stations sell to people going to work, Wal-Mart sells to people who work in coal, doctors work on people who have insurance with coal companies, and lawyers get workers comp claims... I could go on and on
So where can we come to get jobs? What state and town would you reccomend?
I agree the pollution needs to be controlled or stopped so you dont need to give me your opinion on that! Just the location of where we can all come???
